I have a clam license but I heard so many things about PFAS and shit in seafood that I'm scared to go eat them now.
Fucking sucks. There's free protein everywhere but it's filled with toxic garbage and you'll get stomach cancer.
>>
>>76996422
I hear they're so high in zinc. I really enjoy them with horseradish but could probably eat enough to get a lethal zinc dose.
>>

These always made me sick as a kid
Tried them as an adult and they legitimately almost popped my appendix
Had reflex pain around belly button and everything
Start slow on these, it might save your life

You'll get stomach cancer anyway so just eat the bivalves and get swole.
>>
>>76996771

Sausages have bad macros unfortunately, otherwise I would eat them for breakfast every other day.
I exclusively eat chicken breast, lean mince, costco beef bulgogi, and eggs.

When I was 5 I almost chocked to death on oysters. I'm 40 now and have not eaten oysters since then.
>>
Tried it once and it was awful. Literally tasted like garbage and I had to spit it out. How do you guys eat it?
>>
>>76999115
Nothing filters plebs quite like shellfish
>>

It's very easy to swallow a whole oyster without chewing or tasting it. Just don't inhale while swallowing and drink between every 3-5 oysters. It's very easy to eat 14oz of oysters daily, much easier than pork, for example.
>>
>>76996777
yeah, tried it on the weekend and ended up vomiting my guts up for the rest of the day
>>
>>76997585
how the fuck do you almost choke on oysters??
they just slide right down your throat
>>
I love oysters so much bros.
>>
>>76999115
you eat it raw with lemon and horseradish, or mignonette if you prefer. separate from the muscle attaching the meat to the shell, top with the above ingredients, tip your head back, and let it slide down your gullet. don't chew them and please for the love of god don't get them fried, or baked for that matter. (oysters rockefeller is actually based but just get them raw for now)
>>
>>76999182
No hot sauce? Also good chargrilled, with or without crab meat on top.
>>
You swallow it? Don't chew on it? /etf?
>>
>>76996587
cows are bigger
>>
So oysters are just mussels but way more slimy and you're not supposed to chew at all? Interesting
>>
>>76999182
I like to chew them :)

>I hear they're so high in zinc.
Yep, my wife noticed it has an effect on me. I tried supplementing zinc, but I guess there are other things in oysters that make the zinc work better. She makes sure to feed me some for special occasions.

>>76999115
Taste depends on where they're farmed and water temps for freshwater oysters.

I've had some that tasted like garbage, some that taste sweet, and some that taste almost like nothing.

>>76999182
I grew up on onions sauce and sriracha. Now I like mignonette. Never had it with horseradish, even though I love horseradish. One hole in the wall restaurant had amazing fried oysters they stuffed them with spinach and herbs before frying.

Let me guess
>raw oysters
>compared to bovine skeletal muscle cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F
