>doing Zone 2 cardio>the only cardio that matters, the only cardio that actually improves endurance>"this is a bit too slow, I'm sure I can crank the effort a little higher...">end up entering Zone 3>"oh shit if I keep this pace up I'm gonna hit a PR, I can't give up now!">end up forcing myself into Zone 4 for 90% of the workout>realize I wasted over 30 minutes of my life because leaving Zone 2 means 0 gains>even worse, you're actually losing gains the moment you hit 3 and 4How do I make my brain understand that slow is not bad, /fit/?
You should only do low intensity cardio when cutting hard
>>77003662Most of my training is z2. I do it on a treadmill. Just put a tv show on and don't look at your heart rate during.High intensity cardio is also good for you for what it's worth. I do a single "hard day" a week, upper zone 3/intermittent zone 4.
god bodybuilders are such divas
>>77003662just sppedwalk
>>77003662If that's an issue for you then you don't do very much cardio and unironically at low levels of cardio training time there's nothing wrong with your easy workouts being in zone 3 and your hard workouts being zone 4 with touches of zone 5. It's the best bang for your buck under 5hrs/week.
>>77003662you will never be a zoner
>>77004855Something tells me every time this guy moves it's a sped walk
12-3-30 is the easiest way to become a 2 zonermake it 12-3-120 for quadrupled gains
I can do 2x ~30m cardio during the week. Weekends I can do more. I would like 1 rest day (lifting otherwise). Is it worth doing more intense cardio during the week? Or should I take a rest day during the week and use the weekend for longer zone 2 sessions? Goals: improve cardio base without interfering with lifting too much (some is fine). Thanks
heart rate monitors were relegated to infomercials for decades for a reason. you either have a gas tank or you dont
>>77005544yeah
>>77005544What gas rank
