*rapes your shoulder joints*
Heh, u mad faggot?
>>
>>77005479
This lame ass exercise is so pointless too
Been irrelevant for 15 years
>>
>>77005482
Post arms
You wont
>>
It raped my elbow instead
>>
>>77005479
>>77005918
it's a glass joint niggas that never stretch deride a highly effective exercise episode. love this show
>>
did this exercise and popped my elbow, wasn't painful but ever since that day it started clicking every single time I moved it. A dozen years later it's still like this. It pisses me off to hear it pop every single time I move my arm every day and constantly be reminded of my own fragile mortality. I had no idea it was that easy to permanently ruin a joint forever. The human body is a fucking joke
>>
>>77005482
yea no, you tugging on those little ropes like it is your boyfriends dick is a much better exercise for homos like you
>>
Dont keop rigid form. Pop your elbows out to the side a bit.

Instead of 100% hinging the elbows i press upward at the very end
>>
made exactly that mistake. im an extreme failurebrain and i intuitively go to failure on anything i do but you really CAN NOT go to failure on this shit cause for many people theres a high risk of fucking your shoulder which happened to me, and the worst part is that it's a mediocre exercise.
>>
>>77006080
also, what kind of a flaming faggot and bitchmade do you have to be to call people homos for not liking a fucking exercise. this guy in this thread should be flayed and castrated.
>>
>>77005479
Are injuries preventable by lowering the weight and doing more reps?
>>
>>77006090
on that specific exercise for sure
>>
what to do for a heavy triceps exercise that doesn't destroy your elbow? I'm doing pin presses for now
>>
Wait a minute

... your shoulders? I think you might be doing it wrong
>>
>>77006181
He is, but don't correct him, it's the exercises fault
>>
I feel like i'm posting with 40yo dyel machine hoarders i see at 9am
No wonder no one posts body or posts video proof of their lifts anymore you're all middle aged fags chasing the "tone"
>>
>>77006180
Overhead rope extensions
>>
>>77006206
It's impossible to go heavy on overhead triceps extensions, because of leverages and centers of mass. The cable would have to go through your body.
>>
>>77006224
shhh he's a dyel, ignore him
>>
>>77006224
you can with barbells/smith but those do feel like shoulder grinders more than a triceps exercise
>>
i stopped caring about these/skullcrushers after i realized dips work far better for me

but next meso or two my chest will be too busy to add dips in.... what do i do for long head triceps?
>>
>>77006255
I love Rippetoe's LTE, but some people get wrist and shoulder pain doing them. If I haven't done them in a while they're guaranteed to give me brutal DOMS that's how I know they're legit.
>>
>>77006206
overhead tricep stuff fucks my elbow up even more than the lying flat-on-back version, don't know if it's just me though
>>
>>77006180
you also can try them on a cable. put that rail in between your ass cheeks for stability and use a crooked bar with open hands. you can go pretty heavy with this setup. go get those juicy arms bro
>>
>>77005975
Turns out there are "males" with 6" wrists posting on here. Those are usually the ones making these threads.
>>
>>77006201
you sound like you’re tons of fun to be around at parties
>>

I dont join retirement parties or nursing home birthday parties
>>
>>77006487
So how about you post a picture for all of us of you living it up? Come on show us bro you are a social butterfly right?

You can do a full sprint and grab the rope and use momentum to stabilize for each rep. Impossible he says.
>>
>>77006080
If the tension is on your shoulder this exercise probably just doesn’t agree with your anatomy or you’re doing it wrong. The failure point should be your tricep, which is a much weaker muscle than your shoulders, so you should pretty much never hurt yourself doing this unless you’re doing it wrong or have some mobility issue or smth. Get gud unc
>>
>>77006583
Or too much weight/ego lifting
>>
>>77006201
Post body
>>
>>77005479
Try it with dumbbells with the bars running parallel to your body. Think of it like a hammer curl that's only working your tricep. Should take the strain off of your shoulders completely.

Mostly got elbow tendonitis (it goes away pretty fast). I use an ezbar and start from the floor, pull it over, press it out. Right around 205 or so. Trying to hit 3-plates eventually when I get the time to train it. Great exercise. I like it more than benching.

Oldschool lifting is a bottomless pit of memelifts. Youtube recommended me this gem
https://www.youtube.com/@RoidfreeSenior/videos
>>
>>77005479
every time i do this i get a pain in my left elbow but i'm not even sure if its sudden massive muscle tension in one particular spot or join pain.
i have to lower the weight behind my head to get rid of pain but then the leverage is so bad I can't even do it with an empty ez bar
fml
>>
>>77005479
Me likey tho
>>
>>77005479
Wtf are you doing that it hurts your shoulders fukn lmao

Skullcrushers are the best tricep isolation by far and large
Like are you fukn retarded lololololol
>>
>>77007469
T. Sub 135 lbs skullcrushy
Youll understand when you start lifting big boy weights
>>
>>77007473
how do you get into position with heavier weight for skullcrushers?
like, unracking/racking and such
only been doing weighted dips and french press with a dumbell, want to give skullies a try

You stand with your back against the bench and the bar at hip height and suplex it, just like heavy dbs before pressing. There's not that much vertical motion so it's easier than it looks.
>>
>>77007514
thanks
there are very few videos of anyone skullcrushing any real weight where they show them get into position
so you just load the bar at the end of the bench, deadlift it, and sit down/back? seems like getting it over your chest and head would be kind of tough at higher weights
>>
>>77005479
This exercise blew up my triceps to extreme levels, also gave me some nice rear delts. Hurts like a motherfucker though, had to quit them

to diminish long head abuse and place the load on lateral and medial head do it to the side with full internal shoulder rotation and shoulder dropped down and protracted - unilaterally, cable/rubber at an angle not straight down
and brace biceps with other hand/arm - awesome :D

doing it like pictured loads LATS, and long head which both adduce and extend shoulder
doing it like this also promotes forward shoulder roll and flexed thoracic spine - that's the reason full stack seemingly flies with the power of "triceps" - it's mostly not triceps

>>
>>77007473
You can't even bench lmao3pl8
That movement you're calling a skullcrusher is nothing like one
>>
>>77005479
Your shoulders should be locked down and back like a bench lmaoooooooooo wtf are you doing
>>
>>77006090
It depends, are you doing it with shit form and way past your limits?
>>
>>77005479
For me, its my elbow. I've had bone spurs in my right elbow for years so exercises like this inflame the fuck out of it
>>
>>77005479
Are they're any exercises that are actually good for shoulders. Seems like this human shoulders are an actual flawed design
>>
>>77006180
i honestly think narrow trip + cable extension is a better combo than skillcrusher in something
