got a one way ride to Snap City while squatting a few months ago.Lower back hurt for a week, its okay now but when doing squats and deadlifts 70 kg is now the maximum i can do without the pain flaring up. Anyone managed to get back on track after what i believe is a hernia? Thx in advance bros.
Recently I thought I had snapped my shit trying to do heavy bb rows with no warmup like a retard. I reduced gymming to the bare minimum (2 days a week) and went for daily long walks instead for a few weeks. It fixed itself. Obviously at the gym I didn't do anything that hurt even a little bit, leg extensions for example hurt for some reason but leg presses didn't so I did those, not heavy just to hold on to my precious gains. Also dead hangs (with my knees bent back, the jump off seemed suicidal the first weeks), and GHR as soon as I could do them without pain, which was surprisingly fast, I couldn't walk upright but could do those weirdly.
I had something similar happen to me. What fixed it was switching from high bar to low bar squats. I have long femurs, so I was butt winking in the hole to hit depth during high bar and putting all the load on my lower back. Other things that could help are a wider stance or getting shoes with an elevated heel
