anyone have tips for appetite suppression or overeating? nicotine stopped helping n i havent been as consistent with my diet
>>
>>77007112
With zero prep I went on a 3 day fast. My love of cheap instant coffee throughout the day was greater than my love of food.

That said to much coffee too late will fuck up your sleep.

After 3 days I didn't give in to am urge to eat.
I made a decision that I should eat and regretted it because the ease of fasting once I got over a certain brick wall just evaporated.

My mom liked putting butter in her coffee to make her feel more full. It just gave me the shits.
>>
>>77007112
When you say nicotine, are you talking about cigarettes or patches?

I never really smoked. Should I get into patches in my thirties?
>>

Drink a gallon of water a day. It will lower a chemical called ghrelin which makes you hungry. You also eat a lot because you’re actually thirsty. Your belly will be stretched and feel full.
>>

combo of cigs and a vape when i couldnt have a cig. worked for about 2 months and now it does nothing for appetite even tho i still feel the same nicotine buzz so i just stopped but now im hungry again, wouldnt recommend starting unless youre fine with addiction or know you can stop yourself

water, it sort of expands everything, especially fats and fibers
i've also found that really bitter stuff helps
black coffe, dark chocolate, i mix pure cocoa powder with greek yogurt and nothing else and it's really hard to put down so it helps me stay full

>anyone have tips for appetite suppression or overeating?

not being a faggot, is a good start

also a couple cups of coffee during the day

Whole food plant based diet
Work up to about 70g of fiber a day.
>inb4 shills and ketoschizos

Meat is very dense in calories. It's mostly fat, with protein, and zero fibre. You want to eat ideally no meat, or dairy, and get your calories from whole foods.
Neal Barnard is a source. Free oil should be avoided as well.

In addition, check into the interaction between your physiology, food intake, leptin, and ghrelin. See Mike Israetel's video on maintenance phases here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLlX6_2Ris8&list=PLyqKj7LwU2RulAjHczohbx5OyJQ8TaFM0&index=8

You can only do so much, you have to deal with hunger until you reach your goal weight, then maintenance is easy.
Question is, how long are you willing to tolerate your hunger? You can shorten the time with a big deficit or total fasting like this anon.

I consumed so much fat yesterday that I started to sweat. Almost started my day off with some unhealthy shit, but looked down and decided I want to lose some of this belly. I put a can of albacore tuna into a tortilla and added some hot sauce. I expect that to hold me over for several hours. I have a feeling that if I repeat that meal in a few hours and skip dinner, I'll have only consumed roughly 600 calories today, and still have had enough protein to where I'm not miserable. I imagine if I do that for a week, I'll lose a few pounds of visible body fat. Might end up with mercury poisoning though. We'll see.

yes.

Volume eating. Consume more veg. Drink more water. Caffeine in the AM. Ephedrine works well as an app suppressant

>>77007112
If you shit in a bucket in your kitchen it will discourage you from wanting to prepare food there.

Eat a large amount of salad every meal.
>>
>>77007299
This + eat fermented stuff, like miso paste, make sauerkraut, learn to cook, eat whole grain always and fibremaxx, but not from fibre supplements.
You want as many sources and types of fibre as is practical. Eating WFPB rewires your brain after a few weeks. You end up with the appetite of a healthy person rather than a lardass.
Also has done wonders for various mental disorders. But ofc it's almost always applied in tandem with exercise and other lifestyle improvements, so hard to isolate one factor.
>>
>>77007112
You can effectively shrink your stomach with a 48-72 hour fast. Going longer is better though. Contrary to what you'd think this will normalize your hunger hormones.
>>
>>77007112
Just ignore it, it'll go away after a few hours. Anything else is coping or half-measures
>>
>>77007112

Mustard water. Teaspoon of mustard in an 8 ounce glass of water. Eventually, you sort of like the spicy/vinegary taste.

Use lots of salt on your food. Dont make your food disgusting with it, just be sure to add a bit all the time.

Drink lots and ltos of water.

Some appetite is due to the body craving proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals. So eat nutrient rich real foods (real meat, real eggs, real vegetables tc) not meme foods, which have calories, but are low in nutrients.

I feel much better after I start exercising regularly (cardio) and I still eat practically no vegetables.

Fennel and ginger tea is good to calm your digestion after you eat.
Making a ritual of things helps immensely. Eat meals mindfully, drink tea afterward, do jumping jacks or walk to level out the insulin. Routinize things, then it feels bad to break routine and you have an extra reinforcement loop.
>>
>>77009008
Good, and better isn't a binary it's a gradient . You'll feel even better once you eat properly in addition to exercising.
>>
>>77009011
I don't feel good, I feel great. I ate an entire Little Caesar's pizza last night.
>>
>>77007112
Portion control, simple as. Cook a recipe, and then divide it into however many portions the recipe says there are. Eat ONE (1).
>B-but I'm still hungr-
Deal with it.
>>
>>77007120
If you already have a poor relationship with food, an extended fast isn't going to do much. You will put it back on once you break it. You have to completely change your relationship with food. Only eat whole, unprocessed foods. You don't need some special diet.. choose foods you like, probiotics like yogurt, kefir, kimchi etc. Healthy fats, advocado oil, almonds. Chicken, Fish and occasionally red meat. If you can do that and maintain it, a whole new world will open to you. But flat out, you NEED to cut the processed shit out completely.
>>
Me? I eat baby carrots before every meal.

>fiber
>filling
>low calorie
>turns your skin slightly orange in way that is aesthetic

You’ll eat way less
>>
>>77009009
>walk to level out the insulin
This is excellent advice. Immediate after eating your allotted portion, slam a glass of water and then walk out the front door. 5 or 10 minutes in one direction, turn around and come back. Thats all it takes to let the insulin push blood glucose into the muscles, rebalance ghrelin and letpin signaling and let you forget about eating for a few hours.

There was a thread here recently about how decaf coffee suppressed appetite more than regular coffee. This wouldn't mess up your sleep as much if it worked for you. But remember decaf still has some caffeine in it.

Water does not expand fat. You just totally made that up.
>>
>>77008560
There is virtually no fat in tortillas, tuna fish or hot sauce. What are you talking about?
>>
>>77009139
as always you guys are retarded
most stuff is soluble so it would dissolve in water
fat isn't soluble
what fat does in water is create "droplets" of fat by displacing water all around the droplet and viceversa
that displacing of water effectively occupies more volume since it has to hold that structure now
the opposite is also true, if you were to put water in fats it would do the same

do you get it now?
>>
>>77009148
I'm glad we both agree that you made it up. No idea why you responded in the way that you did though If you were just going to long-windedly admit to lying.
>>
>>77009151
yeah sure
now you know you're a stupid retard
>>
>>77009155
I accept your concession. I'm sorry you feel the need to be so negative.
>>
>>77009157
i explained it to you
that's more than you deserve
>>
>>77009162
Yes, you admitted that you lied. I don't know why you keep responding. The conversation is over. You claimed that water expands fat. Water does not expand fat, and you admitted that. Stop posting.
>>
>>77009165
>water, it sort of expands everything, especially fats and fibers
so the problem is that i said that it expands fats and fibers and not that it expands the stomach when paired with fats and fibers?
>>
>>77009174
Man, you just can't stop backtracking, huh?
>>
>>77009177
is that the issue? you could not understand that its the stomach that expands, and that turns into satiety?
