i didn't have one satisfactory push day after getting this from trying a 1 rep max on bench press, all i use now is smith machine, even dumbbells make my shoulders and elbows make weird movements...

You need to let it heal although it'll never be 100% again. Ask chadgippity for rehab exercises to spam. Congrats on the 1RM, hope it was worth never having a normal workout again.

Takes years to fully heal.
9 months minimum to even get back to relative normal.
It's not permanent unless the tear has legitimately compromised the shoulder.

Stretching has to be 4 minutes weekly to full rom in 3 dimensional space for each movement.
The injured movements need to be at conservative rom. Any scar tissue has to be modified asap, but excessive stretching in the injury motion will prevent scar tissue from actually forming altogether. which will be far more detrimental.

Wrap a red light strip around your shoulders and turn it on for 10 minutes a day for 135 days straight, wear goggles, your shoulder injury will heal

Gradual exposure to load and strengthening the area, find a good PT

I am, it worked for me, as long as the red light is infrared light then the red light strip will work.

I figured it out on my own.

I have a slap tear (picture is the description from an MRI of my left shoulder).
As far as I've understood, cartilage will not heal, and the split tendon will probably not heal either, but both can be reinforced by scar tissue over time. I take 15 grams of collagen peptides, along with some vitamin C one hour before I lift to facilitate this process.

Serratus anterior activation, followed by external rotation exercises has made my shoulder feel a lot better.

I have given up on pressing with barbells, but half kneeling landmine presses feel fine. Chin ups aggravate the injury, so I do pull downs with a generous amount of backwards lean instead. I got the injury seven months ago, and I have just added seated dumbbell overhead presses, where I never go further down than eye level. On the initial rep on each set I clean the dumbbells up above eye level, to avoid pressing from a compromised position.

Chat GPT (or equivalents) seem to give decent advice.
If you want to do photobiomodulation, my guess is that 810 nm or 1060-1070 nm wavelengths are better than red light as they will reach deeper into the tissue. I would not rely on it alone as your only mode of rehab.

I had an extremely severe dislocation in 2023. Bankart lesion, Hill-Sachs impaction injury, Radiologist described the Labrum as "Torn and masticated". I had the ball of my humerus lodged against my clavicle HARD.
At the start of 2024 I had a procedure called a Latarjet done.

It has been absolutely fantastic since. I have fully mobility and only minor pain under heavy lifting. If your shoulder injury is on the more severe end like mine was I highly recommend investigating it.
