No reason to get all deep but basically I am a musician, I've got back into a band this past year and I'm the singer. Very important that I look good not only for the benefit of the band and my luck with women, but for my own sanity. I am not a good looking guy naturally, but I'm sure as hell not a complete chud. Regardless I am in a hole right now. I eat only fast food and easy to consume slop. So pizzas, burgers, kebabs, hotdogs, KFC, ham and cheese sandwiches, crisps, chocolate, energy drinks and a I smoke cigs as well. The fact I am not in worse health is nothing short of a miracle.

I gave up drinking because I was a horrible drunk and would get actual withdrawal symptoms as a result of how much I'd consume. Nowadays I just smoke cigs and eat badly which is no better as I'm sure you'll tell me. I just don't know what to do as I always fail every time I try to fix this.

I have a weight bench I used for a few months last year, my body isn't meant to carry this much weight and my bone structure isn't thick enough that I am a strong guy by default. So this was quickly depressing as I cant lift much. I have an old treadmill I could use but the real problem I have is food. I cant eat normally and I've become so accustomed to shit eating habits and the taste, that I cant even consume a normal meal.

Tried to buy an air fryer last week to learn how to cook but it didn't work so I took it back. I am at my wits end now, I don't want ozempic as I dont want to get super cancer or any other side effects. What am I to do boys? I need rid of this fucking weight by summer or at least 30lbs or so.

Is that possible? Is 30lbs something I can achieve by summer? let me know

what do you mean getting an air fryer didn’t work? learning to cook is straight forward, but it does take time to learn how much salt or pepper to put on, timings, etc. just follow a recipe as best you can and something decent will come out.
you could absolutely lose 30 lbs by the summer and, depending on how much you weigh, it could be pretty simple. read the sticky for a decent starting point on nutrition and weight training and or cardio if youre interested in doing those. cardio would help a lot in losing weight.
also, everyone starts out weak, no reason to get demotivated.

Ultimately you just need to eat far less, I like the vertical diet or eating exclusively animal products. For exercise just start with walking, you might like kettlebell swings too (read up on Pavel).

Can you share a pic of what you look like? Face cropped out obviously. I am 5'10" 305lbs but lean enough to do a dozen pull ups, I would like to see what I would be like if I didn't train or have a specific diet.

Stop overthinking it, just count calories (no exceptions) and walk an hour per day. You can lose 30lb by March at your weight. Weigh yourself daily but only care about the 5 day rolling average, bodyweight is a noisy number.

You need sustained cardio. This doesnt have to be running, you can go outside and walk 90 minutes a day while listening to podcasts

Cardio/walking makes your hormone profile better which makes you less hungry and makes you feel more full when eating less. In other words, you will fail if you try to do it without walking a lot.

Trust me bro, walk 1 hour+ a day (10,000 steps) and youll be grateful for it down the line. If you try to willpower your way out of eating less and sitting around all day, quite frankly, you will fail. No doubt about it

Its a hard reality man but you gotta face it. No burger or chips for breakfast. You want to buy some oats, add milk, put in microwave for 3 minutes and eat that. Maybe a protein shake. Thats like 300-400 calories. You should also wait 3-4 hours after waking up before you have your first meal. In theory you shouldnt be starving when you wake up. If you start eating immediately its mostly boredom eating

You want to minimise junk food as much as possible because it sets off your rat brain to want more slop. Its a fools errand to try lose weight by eating slop.

I think they just lack the understanding and intuition that they need to stay slim. I dont know the whole picture but autists can commonly fall into traps of not showering or bathing because they cant really understand why they should do that for others. They cant really understand the unwritten social rules of why you should do stuff like that

So the idea of being slim to be more attractive, more appealing, healthier and more driven and perceived as better is something they really struggle with. But what they do understand is junk food taste good

Yeah man look, it's quite confusing really since I quit alcohol with the snap of my fingers and it's been extremely easy. Almost too easy in fact as I go to bars to play music and it doesn't even cross my mind. I just have my water or coke and I am totally unphased like I was as a 14 year old when I started playing music and people would offer me pints lol. I would have a protein shake a day for the few months last year I would workout. They weren't bad actually, I just assumed drinking one wouldn't satiate me enough. I'd use two cups with the plastic spoon thing you get with the powder and when the powder wasn't all lumpy, it was lovely. I haven't tried it in a long time so maybe you're right. But the rest isn't going to happen easily, I hate rice and I hate vegetables and cant cook. Maybe a meal like this a week to get myself into it is the way to go. Because I've failed enough times to know if I go all in straight away I'll burn out after two days. Just the way it is

I went to the doctor talking about my general malaise and thats what they gave me. Some health nurse that spoke to me about what I can do to sleep and eat better. I also did some courses on understanding anxiety better which is a common pitfall for neurodivergent people.
