I just hit 30 and this got me thinking about my age and needing to take care of myself. I'm healthy and feel good but want to keep things that way. What kind of exercise should I do to age well? I'm not looking to lose weight, get big, etc. Just maintain health and energy.

Do light cardio 30 minutes a day.
Stay within 1/2/3/4 without chasing much higher weights
Sleep at least 7 hours
Wash your face with mild soap and use facial lotion

Or just ask Copilot. I'm sure you haven't figured out how to uninstall it yet, so it likely already knows you are asking these questions.

I am only 29 (I'm still young! I'VE GOT TIME!) so take my zillenial advice with a grain of salt;
>Muscle mass and bone density
compound lifts. Most boomers (you now) die from a fall which breaks a bone, they lose mobility and are never the same agaib.
>Cardio
swimming or cycling
Basically any cardio that doesnt put a strain on your body such as running. I love running but I can start to feel it take its toll on my knees and ankles.
>Motivation /happyness
I find you need an activity you enjoy that you want stay fit for as the best motiviation, rather than a vague (I want to be healthy).
I train BJJ and do a lot of hiking and mountaineering. You can so whatever, just find somethinf you enjoy and that adds to cardio.

ehh dont worry about it too much this whole site is a mossad psyop to prey on your insecurities and turn you into a crazy autistic person just run with what life deals ya exercise often enough and eat clean when you can for extended periods of time, age is like gender and genetics you can't pick and choose it.

I don't mind getting big as a consequence of getting healthier and stronger, not trying to avoid it. But it's annoying that so much advice and discussion ends up being about what's better or worse for hypertrophy or aesthetics. It seems to offend people when you don't care about it.

The real answer is you can do whatever you want to stay active and the important thing is enjoying it so you actually stick to it. Personally I enjoy lifting weights. I have friends who like going to climbing gyms and playing pickleball, neither of which you would catch me dead doing. Who cares though, it's pretty much adult recess time
>>
Not even memeing but do you even lift? Read the sticky if not and start a beginner program. The most important thing is to stick to it. Also don't ignore cardio, you will regret it. But seriously, read the sticky

>should I do to age well?
Stop alcohol, tabacco + nicotine + cannabis
Run every single day, 30-45 minutes
Eat fiber, a lot
Drink water, a lot
Avoid sugar (solid and liquid)
Sleep motherfucker
Avoid stress and anxiety (fear) at all cost

Seriously, aging is suffering, be prepared

and lift weights. You're going to need a firm, muscular, and strong body.

I'm 41 and have been pretty much maintaining for a while now. I feel strong and in general feel great. I do wish I could get more gains but the drive just isn't there for me anymore to really put in the work.

The only real complaint I have is I can't deal with the cold like I used too.
