It takes time, effort and makes me lose appetite. It's either eat when you think you're full or leave it for later and warm it up which makes the whole cooking thing kinda pointless.Nowadays I just chuck a whole bunch of shit into my big clay pot, add water and some spices and leave it in the oven for 40 minutes. Turns out great every time. I'll still cook sometimes when I'm feeling fancy but effortcooking only for yourself is really kinda meh. Only exception is grilling but that's a whole special ritual with chopping wood, stoking the grill, lighting the fire and letting it burn out so only charcoal is left.

I absolutely hate cooking. Waste of time, there's a lot of stuff to clean afterward, and usually after a day of work and gym I'm so hungry I just want to come home and eat something that can be prepared with zero hassle and still give me a full stomach, while also being palatable.It helps me A LOT that I naturally like very simple food and "natural" flavors. I don't like fried stuff, I don't like fancy plates, don't have a sweet tooth. Give me some baked potatoes, beef, some green veggies with olive oil, fish (cleaned, grilled and that's it) seafood, chicken, eggs, a fuck load of oats and legumes, and I'm the happiest guy in the world.Stick to the basics guys. Which doesn't mean you should only eat rice and tuna, ofc.

I've made "good" meal preps before with more complex recipes, and half the time it just gets old and gross quicker than if you keep the meals simple with basic ingredients. Beef and potatoes keeps fresh longer than curry or something dairy-based.
Make a big container of fried rice to last you through the week. Marinade and freeze the chicken and cook it daily so that it's fresh. It's literally that easy.
