Bros... I want to get /fit/ but I have genuinely no idea how to cook and eat cleanly. My parents never equipped me with such knowledge and now I live alone. Any advice for a hopeless kitchencel?
>>77056315Filufit on YouTube has some easy meal prep to start you off.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staple_foodThere's not much to cook.Carbohydrate source (grain, potato or bananas)Protein source (meat, occasionally eat liver or kidneys for an abundance of micros)Fat source, oily fish, eggs, whole milk, this will also add to protein as well.
>>77056315Rice cooker is a wonderful and cheap appliance. I eat a fuck ton of white rice. Air frier is also a great cheap appliance if you can’t cook. You can cook meat or potatoes in the air frier. These + a frying pan is simple as fuck. Start with a carb: white or brown rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes. Next a protein: air fried chicken breast or pan seared chicken breast or any ground meat, turkey or chicken or beef browned in a pan and seasoned with taco seasoning. Then at least one vegetable. Fiber is good, especially if you are getting in lots of protein. I always have frozen spinach broccoli or mixed veg on hand, stupidly cheap, just add it to whatever you are cooking. For breakfast I tend to have yogurt and granola or overnight oats (also a great carb source and couldnt be simpler to prepare). At least 1 shake a day due to convenience. 2 fruits a day, 1 veg minimum - fresh or frozen. Even tomato counts. Eggs and or egg whites anytime too. Lean meats, dairy, eggs, fruit and vegetables, whole grains. Congratulations you now know how to eat to get in shape and be healthy.

>>77056315don't drench things in oil and sauces.don't eat prepackaged foods that essentially only require being warmed up (or less) to be "cooked".that solves about 99% of it.
>>77056408Holy shit you're a faggot

Get a gas grill, season up a few pounds of chicken and just throw it on there and cook to temp, flipping every so often so it doesn't burn. Throw a potato in the microwave for like 5-8 minutes, and steam some vegetables either on the stove or in the microwave. done.
