Does anybody use these infrared lamps that are supposed to help with mitochondria, muscle recovery, blood circulation etc. etc.? I'm interested in buying them, but I also saw infrared LED panels. Which one is better, the infrared lightbulb or the LED panel? How about just a chicken lamp?
>>
Just eat less junk food and work out
>>
I don't know anything about this red light shit, but I can guarantee it's all hokum.

Infrared amps after cardio but not on my rest day when I eat my creatine powdered crickets when I backs on my heated rock.

No the sunlight isn't only for vit. D3, it also affects mitochondria, look it up
>>
>>77099682
bought one. even if it works, you supposedly need to use it for 8mths to start to show anything. nothing happening could be explained away by panels not of the right irradiance to basking too short or too frequently.
if you don't have an injury to track the results by, i wouldn't know how to tell if it actually works or not
>>
I got those, not feeling a difference quite frankly
They feel nice though during the process

I also got uvb lights to treat vitamin d deficiency in Canada , those give me a sunburn if use them for more than 2 minutes on one spot
>>

Expert here. I got sucked into the whole infrared thing with the theradome back in the day and think my opinion is more valid than anyone that will ever post on here.
They're all garbage. Majority of the lamps that are sold don't have the proper power ratings to simulate intracellular gains like they allege. Chromatherapy in general is a giant fucking scam. It's similar to people who say that saunas make you sweat heavy metals out of your body--pure fiction, but at least saunas have other tangible benefits. The majority of lamps (and the only reason why I don't say ALL lamps is because I never spent 10k on the 'legit' ones) are a waste of money plain and simple.
>>
Works kinda, chicken lamp is too hot and gonna be a fire hazard, you might fall asleep while taking in the warmth and get yourself holocausted.Get led panels.
>>
I have ALWAYS said that it stands to reason evolution wise that the body would use sunlight however it can. There has to be more to it than only vitamin D. I think this red light shit is kind of proving me right.
>>
>>77099834
Are you supposed to feel anything when using LED panels? Or does it feel like being under any other kind of light (ie. feeling nothing)
>>
>>77099893
You gonna feel like a morning sun warmth during a walk, slight tingle too probably due to your blood vessal dilating when its heating up 5-10 minutes in. Definitely different from your ceiling lamp, most likely due to proximity to your skin. I'm using 660nm red light and 850nm nir led panel.
>>
would they give me a tan? I don't want my skin to get all rough and leathery

IR illuminators are the same wavelength and cost $20.I got one for my balls back in college and it increased my sex drive considerably
>>
>>77100345
Thats uvb or uvb, red light wont do that.

I use them for penis enlargement
>>
>>77100366
I see, that's been my big concern with it but if it's no problem then I should look into getting one
>>
>>77099682
The benefit if any would be a single digit percentage increase to your healing rate, you'd need a study with like 500 people in it before it would even be detectable
They feel great though, amd im gonna get one for having sex under in winter
>>
>>77099720
I honestly wish i had something like this in on winter mornings. Just want to bask in heat in nice dry heat for like 20 minutes after waking.

Infrared can help with stubborn fat by increasing blood flow to the abdominal area

It may sound retarded but if you're like 10% bf and want to get rid of stubborn fat on your belly or lower back try putting an infrared lamp onto it in the morning for 20 minutes to increase blood flow then doing fasted low intensity cardio, ideally with caffeine and yohimbine

Nobody here actually believes that any of this insane meme stuff actually accomplishes anything at all.

Go to the gym. Eat a relatively clean diet. Get good rest. Stop it with this inane tripe.

Heat lamps are good for cats too. Keep in mind cats evolved in a climate much warmer than mos countries in the west so their bodies are perpetually in a state of danger because it's too cold for them, heated beds are obviously also good

Sunlight is fullspectrum, it contains the spectrum of red light that science is interested in.
So basically, you're just a full of shit memer who likes to be a crab in the bucket with no constructive answers
Will your next reply be one?
>>
I used one on my face and upper body before going to sleep for a while. It was very relaxing and seemed to help my sleep but then I read regular use on your face can cause damage to the eyes so I stopped doing it. I planned on buying a pair of those UV blocking glasses or whatever, but never did it and just kind of forgot about the whole thing.
I does something for sure, even if it's only increased blood flow through some kind of relaxation response or vasodilation because of the warmth, etc.
>>
I like my red light/near infrared panel. Slight positive effects in energy and vision, easy enough to toss on while stretching. No infrared benefits though.
An incandescent bulb in a lamp is nice to offset the blue light and lack of infrared from LEDs if you can't get sunlight regularly.
>>
Not worth the hassle. If you have $10k laying around you should buy the nicest fucking bed/pillows/comforters/sheets with temp and angle controls. That will give you 10x or more benefit over a red light chamber.

As for small IR devices that go over a body part...odds are you're just getting your wallet penetrated and not your skin. People have realized that you can just put a red light bulb on a $5 knee wrap and charge $500 and you'll sell 10,000 of them instantly with everyone giving you a 5-star review from the placebo effect.
>>
>>77101516
I'm glad we agree that it's not sunlight. No idea why you wrote all that.
>>
>>77101721
>$10k
Who the fuck sells and buys IR lamps for 10k? They cost like $50 at most
>>
>>77099682
Didn't work for me.
>>
>>77101938
Probably the tanning bed style some gyms have. But people do buy panels that can go up to a few hundreds though
>>
>>77099682
i have one of those for my birds. they would kick anyone's birds' asses any day of the week. come at me and my birds, bro.

>Majority of the lamps that are sold don't have the proper power ratings to simulate intracellular gains like they allege
?
Light is measured in lumens, and you want a spectrograph showing that you are getting that near IR, and a lot of it
What you are saying is wrong, the nuance is that you can't see what the output of wavelengths are without a good spectrometer and measuring equipment.
The problem here is not directly wattage, its the "trust me bro, it outputs decently".
