I can only OHP 80 pounds..
>>
>>77102809
it's over
>>
How long have you been lifting? That's fine if you're new. It's a hard lift.
>>
>>77102813
about 1 month
>>
I'm 6 months into lifting and I can only 1RM 70 lbs because I have a small frame, so just stfu and be thankful for what you have.
>>
>>77102809
I can only do 75lbs atm. I'll get to 80 eventually.
>>
>>77102809
How is that possible? I do 2pl ohp after 1.5 years
>>
>>77102834
Because you're gay.
>>
>>77102834
Post your gut
>>
>>77102816
That's decent for a beginner, OHP is one of the lifts that takes the longest to improve
>>
>3 months of lifting
>only 2pl8 squat
help

How? I squat 4pl after a year
>>
>>77102809
>bb front raises
>db mid delt
>3 sets of military press all the time
>4 sets of db shoulder presses sometimes
>hit the cables and dbs
Report back in 6mo and go balls to the wall.
>>

Great what's your vertical? Logically someone on this earth can double my vertical. You train for shit and I'd mog you in 1wk of how to lift like a sped.
>>
i can ohp 145 and bench 175
>>
>>77102809
You can only OHP 80 pounds now. Imagine what you'll be lifting a year from now with consistent effort.
>>
>>77103476
what was your program like?
what was your starting squat?
>>
>>77102809
How many reps and sets?l
>>
>>77103476
legs only once a week, fuckton of protein, lifting as heavy as i can for 5 reps and doing many sets with long 3-4 min rests inbetween

and training for squats by making quads and hams stronger abusing the leg press and smith machine
>>
>>77102809
Repping 80 lbs on OHP after a month of lifting is totally fine. I wouldn't expect someone to be over 100 (though some definitely would be, especially people with an athletic background).
>>77102819
Trust me m8, unless you have the frame of a literal prepubescent child that's not why you're 1RMing 70 lbs after six months. I could train a 13 year old boy to more than that.

>>77105629
I have 6.2 inch wrists.

OK? I have 6.5" wrists and I did 3x5x65 the first day I went to the gym.
>>

Do all kinds of different lift variants for 3-4wks 3-4x/wk and either max out your strength(weight goes down) or hypertrophy( you feel a burn and/or pump and failure also). Do 0 pushing for a week and back to the grind, 2-3wks to get back to peak strength.

You probably suck at lifting, that's probably what I was at when I could 1rm 105lbs bench not knowing shit about form(120lbs actual 1rm if good form I'm guessing). Just try different shit and work hard like seriously is this a joke? You didn't even make a post on how to increase 1rm with form alone? You can probably do 115 archqueering finding the right width and definitely not push pressing.

>>77105693
ignore him, it's some buckbroken schizo who thinks the fractions of an inch separating his ankles and wrists from the average man prevents him from lifting more than an 11 y/o chinese girl with rickets
>>
>>77102834
>know something they dont
>refuse to elaborate
>leave
>>

OP is at 80lb ohp in 1 month of training. they don't need to do lift variants yet they just need to keep training ohp for a few months.
>>
>>77103431
>>77103476
That's normal. Even doing starting strength.
Start at 110lbs
Add 5 lbs a workout, squat 3x/ week
36 workouts (3 months) x5 lbs a workout = 180 lbs or 290 lbs work weight
That is BEST case scenario, being at +100ish lbs is fine
>>
>>77103487
No idea what you're trying to say but if anything high standing vert should correlate with high success lifting. It means you're a natural athlete and strong
>>
>>77103476
I squat 40 plates after 100 years
>>
what is the 2 plate bench equivalent for OHP? is it 1 plate?

I've hit 135lb OHP for a 1RM but I usually do ~115lbs for 5x5
>>
>>77107636
according to 1/2/3/4 it is, according to symmetricstrength it's more like 145
>>
>135lb for 8 reps
Am i /fit/ yet? cant go heavier because i pinched a shoulder doing french press and it refuses to go away
>>
>>77107636
>I've hit 135lb OHP for a 1RM but I usually do ~115lbs for 5x5
You sure about that? I feel like you should be able to 1RM for more. When I was doing 115 lbs for reps, I could 1RM 155.
>>77107792
>cant go heavier because i pinched a shoulder
Fucking same. I have to check my logs but when I started doing 135 3x8 I hit a 1RM 185.
>>
>>77102809
Today I hit a pr of 115 for 5! Hopefully I’ll reach 135 by summer.
