I've been having legitimately debilitating in my right glute for the past few weeks. Upper/mid glute but radiates down into my hamstrings. Comes and goes, no real rhyme or reason with the exception of if I hinge my hips or stretch my hamstrings it hurts like a motherfucker after. Picking something off the floor hurts like hell unless I deep squat to get it. Any ideas? My research came up with piriformis syndrome or hamstring tendinopathy. Like I said it comes and goes, usually worse at night. When it hurts there's really no comfortable position I can get into. Not standing, sitting, laying down, kneeling. I haven't hit legs in a week and have been careful not to aggravate it and it's still just as bad as a week ago.
>>77103225>any ideasif it is fucking with your everyday life as bad as you have described, you should seek professional advice
>>77103225Its just sciatic pain.Go see a physio.

>>77103225oh boy another >i sit too much and don't stretch at allfaggotit's called Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy.it's dysfunction of the hamstring, sciatic, glute, accessories, back, hipflexors.no it's not just one, the primary source is the sitbone hamstring insertion, but it's caused by everything because it exist from not being able to strengthen hamstrings appropriately due to bad posture.you have to stretch total hip mobility back to max rom (including above and below the hips) so that you can actually set your hamstring in the position where it is not constantly over lengthened. afterwords strict hamstring strength building has to happen until healthy tissue exist.will take a few months to completely heal, it's not a permanent issue, it's extremely common and called "yoga butt" because it usually happens from people who over exert the hamstring and grind it against the sitbone.sitting always makes it worst, always. applies direct pressure to it and it cannot heal.reason why deep squat doesn't hurt is because deep squat forces the pelvic bone to shift into proper posture which relieves pressure.gotta do gay shit like thishttps://youtu.be/CHRUb43S6RM?si=0N2hpN4bw9Zt1rb4to fix it
>>77103225had the exact same problem as you it's like anon said >>77104001add his video and this into a daily or semi daily routine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BOTvaRaDjI
>>77104084took me 4 months, for me it was deep lunge squat. on day i stepped forward just slightly more and the hip popped and hamstring pain was just gone.just gotta grind that mobility+strengthening until the ass stops being dysfunctional.

What the fuck is going on in here?
>>77104001I actually barely sit. I work an active job and get 10-15k steps on a daily basis. I've been stretching my hamstrings for the past half a year since they've always been super tight. I will say it did start after I was essentially bedridden for 5 days though. I started doing some shit like that and a controlled squat isometric yesterday and it's already helping with the pain.
>>77104001this and>>77104084This. In fact this is the exact video I found on /fit/ years ago and >>77104096This. Rotate your focus. Find a ballerina or pilates routine on youtube and try something you've never done before. Tae-Bo 2 was fun and I could suddenly feel my glutes right.
>>77105528It can be just as much about work stress or other life stress as it can be physical issues. Also check your shoes and stuff.
Sounds like it might be a pinched nerve, since it sounds like your mobility is generally ok. Go to a physiotherapist and remember, chiropractors are shit and quacks
