Realistically, how much can I achieve at home with a pull up bar and 2 8kg kettlebells?

depends
if you're a complete beginner it's good enough for a few months
but you're gonna outgrow the kettlebells pretty quickly
not that it matters much as you're gonna do bodyweight stuff mostly anyway

if you're a beginner, get some bands as well and a yoga mat / exercise mat for ground exercises
with that you can easily get by for at least half a year without anything else
then you can slowly upgrade, heavier kettlebells or dumbbells (make sure they are with weight plates so you can reuse them), get a belt for weighted pull ups, and later barbells

if you're already somewhat /fit/
and not interested in more advanced calisthenics stuff, you're gonna be bored after 1-2months max
