Like just look around next time you're in a public gym, you'll rarely even see anyone lift that. You get boomers who claim they used to do like 30 reps of 2pl8 back in the day, yet all you see them lift is 1.5pl8 on the Smith machine, and you get some of the bigger fitter zoomers maxing out at 1.5pl8 bench for a few reps. I think 225 is achievable for the average adult male (i.e., no major medical conditions, normal height range, etc). But it takes a degree of effort that the average adult male is simply not going to put in. You need to have an actual routine. You need to alter your diet. You need to be consistent for more than six months at the very least. That's the part that's respectable, not the weight lifted. Most people put no effort at all into their lives and just kinda coast along in a stupor.
