Instead of bone smashing, what about bone pressing? It's the same force being applied. The only difference is the duration of the force applied. Smashing is for a fraction of a second whereas you can just press down for a few seconds. This way you don't get CTE. I theorize this could work because people that lift weights have thicker bones than those that don't. You just need to apply force for bones to grow, not to hit it repeatedly.

Yeah bone development is genetic. Obviously I didn't pop out of the womb with the cheekbones and jawline I had today.
