I work from home and was thinking about getting a jump rope (cordless) to keep my steps up during the day due to sitting for too long. For any anons who also are trying to get more cardio are cordless jump ropes dumb? I have been shadow roping because I don't want to fuck up my carpet. Other options are getting a desk treadmill and a standing desk but that's a lot of hassle and money. I'm already 1500 steps over my average from sitting a chair by just doing the jump rope motion and hopping. Obviously I lift after work most days and incline walk but I'm still not getting close to 10k a day with just that.

>>77106431Desk treadmill aficionado here. I can PC vidya at fairly high speed/incline, but actual productivity I have to crank it down some.Regardless, even trudging along at 1.5mph is better than doing nothing.

>>77106431>cordless jump ropesi have one so i can jump in the garage where the roof is not tall enough to jump a rope because of the light fittings. it works well enough. the things against it are that people say it doesn't help your coordination if you want to move to a rope, which i would agree because sometimes i go out of sync, which would be a rope-hits-shins jump but you can keep on jumping. and some sources say it is less intense on the body because of the lack of rope but i don't know how true that is. i find it worthwhile for 20 minutes as part of my garage workout. it's ten bucks or something, not expensive if you don't like it.
