Anyone seen this yet? I kind of started to think that the protein craze might be overblown when I saw ripped aesthetic fruitarians online and while starting to try to hit the ridiculous protein goals for my size. humans going through torture trying to get in 1g per lb of body weight eating a bunch of artifical protein snacks doesnt feel natural or optimal. And no I'm not a vegan

1g of carbs per kg is a pretty small amount. Think about it.
1g of carbs per kg
1g of protein per kg
Even if you weighed 100 kg that's only 200g or 800 kcal. Even if you added 1g of fat per kg, you'd still be at 1600 kcal.
You could easily double that carb ratio. Hell, you could double both the carb and protein ratio.

Hunter gatherers, which is what homo sapiens were for the last 300k years or so, ate 100-200+ grams of protein per day. The low protein diet of today is an anomaly that's been around for 10k years or so. There is no protein craze, high protein is the default. There's a grain craze.

Not watching your video but consensus of studies is that 0.55-0.7g/lb total body weight maxes out net muscle protein synthesis. Maybe there are outliers but if you are not a professional athlete it's not even worth pursuing.

Roidtrannies rocket up to their enhanced limit very quickly and it's unlikely they need more protein than this either unless they've just upped their doses.

Studies show that protein timing really doesn't matter. If you have 2 protein feedings a day that's enough. Maybe 3 protein feedings is better for professional athletes but any gain is marginal. You don't even need to take in protein after a workout unless you're training fasted like a retard because you fell for influencer garbage on substrate utilization.

Protein per meal doesn't really matter either as long as you hit a leucine threshold based on your age. Probably ~25g total protein in a meal if you're a younger adult to max out and ~35g if you're a turbo oldfag.

So, basically, you don't need to think. Multiply your weight by 0.7 and take in that much protein per day and you're maxed out. You'll probably max out at 0.5g/lb so if you go below you're still fine.
