I just started a 6-day bro split (been doing it for 2 weeks) and managing 4 exercises per day but want to move it up to 6 exercises per day. What has your experience been with a bro split? I feel really good after chest day but get exhausted after leg day, and I imagine this is because the muscles are different sizes. Is this normal?
Pointless split imoI do full body every lifting session. Let's you take more rest days.First I start with ATG squats on smith machine with 2 ten lb plates beneath the heels, toes pointed out 45°. I superset squats with wide grip pull-ups for an hour. No rest just keep doing more sets back to back. Then after that is complete I do T-bar rows, Bulgarians, lateral raise machine, rear felt flies and arms (preacher curl machine and triceps extension machine).I don't really train chest ever because I used to bench alot during my first few years lifting. Sometimes I'll do some flies just so the chest doesn't lag too far behind.
>>77108727So you honestly think you need to work your shoulders with the same frequency as your legs? You think working each tiny muscle group once a week is good enough? You don't think you will benefit more from full body lifts that engage more than simply your CHEST? >whats the point This is a dumb routine.
>>77108761I got bored of full body workouts. I just want to change it up for like 4 to 8 weeks.
>>77108727I have been basically doing a bro split, only working most body parts once a week.I feel like i plateaued aftar just a year or two of ppl and splitting more daily volume with better recovery seems to be working for me at the moment, especially for shoulders.
>>77108727>Bro splitSub-optimal splitI'm actually on this split (compound first, isolation last). Day 1 chest, back, triceps Day 2 legs, shoulders, biceps Day 3 back, chest, tricepsDay 4 shoulders, biceps, legs
