Do I need a designated abs day to get abs or will doing a regular PPL routine and cutting be enough to get me them?
>>

Just do abs with your workout. Doesn't need it's own day
>>
>>77134926
Do you mean like add a random ab workout to each PPL day or just focus on abs on exercises I’m already doing it applies to, like leg lifts?

Abs are made in the kitchen. You cant out crunch a shitty diet
>>
>>77134949
Ok but presumably you do also have to exercise the muscle too right? It’s not like you can eat well, never work out, and get abs

You absolutely need to workout abs. They're not any different from any other muscle. Stop being lazy as fuck.
>>
>>77134979
Yes, absolutely, but they wont show unless you lower your bf%
>>
>>77134949

abs day sounds kino - do it
>>

You could say the same about literally every other muscle group too it’s just that the fat % you need to be at to see definition is higher for chest, back, bis and tris
>>77134938
Personally I do abs on pull day after doing back and biceps because it’s the most enjoyable/easiest day. I only do a few sets of crunches and leg raises

Whoever doesn't think your core deserves as much attention as the rest of you is a fucking retard & I will tell you this, of all the lifters I know who have NEVER had a spinal injury, were ones who had dedicated core segments in their program. I've heard of many people who just spam it on their active rest day. Your core is the most essential & neglected/underestimated muscle group. Muscular development anywhere has varying levels of spill over effect(an extended area past the target site that also experiences gains) but some areas have more pronounced spillover, the big 3 are forearms, core, and calves. The two ends and middle of the kinetic chain.

i agree with >>77134926
it doesnt need a whole day but replace "abs" in your question with literally any other muscle.

You should ideally have all your movements covered. Flexion, extension, and torsion. Bending forward, bending backward, and twisting in both directions.
>>
Yes you need to train your abs. Whenever you hear 'all I do is heavy compounds for my abs' make sure you get them to post body with timestamp.

I do ab work on leg day or pull day depends how I feel. Maybe do both days
