Is cardio/endurance based fitness much more "upper class" based than lifting/bodybuilding?

>Lots of Crossfit/hydrox gyms are filled with upper middle class young professionals
>Run clubs are filled with hot young people that run all day and fuck all night.
>Activities like tennis, pickleball, etc are activities of rich people
>If rich people do take PEDs, it's usually peptides, GH, and small amounts of test, not huge dosages of test with a bunch of other anabolics

There's also the argument that "functional endurance" is more important and functional than "functional strength".
>running away from threats is usually more advantageous than fighting
>Can walk up flights of stairs without getting winded.
>Can have multiple rounds of sex at night without getting tired
>>
They also touch kids, beat kids and eat kids. What's your point

Based pedo slaying weight lifter, cut them down with a 7ft sword looking like The Mountian.
>>
Someone post that noble masculine pic. And yes lifting is pretty low status, but i just wanna get big af so i don't give a shit anyway

In the UK it is.
Aside from rugby players in their 20's all the upper class poshos do cardio and are skinny.
The lower class are all into their weights and boxing and being a big ard cunt is preffered. you get more respect on a council estate for being bearmode than you do for being lean and ottermode.
>>
>>77134927
Yes, lifting has always been blue collar/low class. Cardio sports tend to be high class. The one exception maybe cycling. The closest thing you will get to lifting is gymnastics. The calisthenic guys are close, but not quite there. Many of them just do high reps with no or light weight and the street lifting is just powerlifting with weighted chin-ups, weighted dips, and squats instead of SBD.
>>
Yeah it is. All the rich people I know do triathlons and are thin, focused on health.
>>
>>77134927
Maybe? If you're rich you're probably just going to get some weightlifting shit in a spare room or your garage anyways so that might also be why you don't see them around in public gyms.

Rich people lifestyle
>Vacations in europe
>Clubbing
>Private islands
Yeah when you go on tours and adventures in europe and small sandy islands you generally don't want a weightlifting regiment and a ton of muscle, you want to be able to go do your 10 mile tour + hours of sightseeing after without being exhausted.
>>
>>77134989
Also generally being muscular is a big upside in a lot of blue collar works, since the more muscle you have the less of a strain on your joints and ligaments and the more protected you are from all types of accidents like falling and shit.
>>
do both, you literal faggots
>>
>>77134936
Those are the super elites/billionaires. Im talking more about the doctors, lawyers, engineer class. Like that level of money where you are comfortable and your bills are paid, but you don't have to sell your soul
>>
>>77134989
Yeah I can see that. Looking like a rugged construction worker is ideal for the lower classes, but all the rich kids are thin.

>>77135036
That's what I figured. I remember I used to lift weights a lot, I was big and bulky but my life improved a LOT once I started training for endurance and athleticism. Not even talking about getting girls, just overall feeling better and fitting into clothes easier.
>>
pits.
>>
>>77135054
Eh yes and no. Rich rich people go to Equinox, so you can find some there, but part of it is more so for the spa experience and to network over the actual gym.
>>77135062
Agreed. When you go clubbing and grind on a cute stranger all night you don't want to get them sweaty.
>>77135066
I mean a little bit of weight lifting is okay but 80 weights/20% endurance is probably the sweet spot, MAYBE 70/30
>>
>>77134927
You want to top out at "athletic" at most to code rich. Big arms, broad shoulders, wide back are all ok, but you need a suit to fit right without looking like the tailor had to jump through some hoops.
>>
>>77135301
Correct. Like it should surprise people that you work out while wearing a suit you shouldn't look too bulky in a suit.
>>
>>77134927
I'm rich and sitting at lean 28 BMI on a crap-ton of non-AAS anabolics, do a 12.3 sec 100m but gave up distance running. I laugh at 18BMI rich skellies running marathons, like bro/sis ur just ass cancer and kidney damage maxxing to look like a holocaust victim?
>>
Mountain biker anon here but I also ride some gravel/road in off season and for training. There are some rich people into bikes but they usually suck at it…lots of the super fancy bikes you see are ridden by people with way more money than fitness or riding skill. As a gear based sport (like guns, photography, music, etc) as opposed to a non-gear-centric sport like running, it attracts people who try to compensate for being bad at it by spending big on gear.
>>
>>77135010
Cycling gets very expensive very fast at higher levels, people using shitty bikes to commute to work are not cyclists and usually don't do it for sport
>>
>>77135551
Cyclist anon here, I agree with you - for road bikes, a Specialized Allez with Shimano 105 gearing (shifts well, holds up well, not the most expensive option), is $2,100 MSRP. You can get by with a cheaper bike with shittier parts, or spend more on a fancier and marginally faster bike (though this gets into diminishing returns quickly) but the point is that it is not a real cheap sport
>>
>>77135561
Minimum buy-in for gearing up in lycra and wiping out a family of 4 on a crowded mixed use trail on a beautiful spring day because you think you're such hot shit? Asking for a friend.

>there is no friend, it's been 5 years and I'm still angry at this dude that almost killed my little girl while swerving between us and another family going the other way. I swear, I wish I could go back and beat him with his bike.
>>
not a single person in the field I know lifts. the women are obsessed with running, and cardio classes. if a man "exercises" it's running or skiing.

Why?
>>
>>77135662
Now I just blew a huge wad of snot out my nose and my ears popped back to normal

What causes this?

Is it really necessary for Sara to show off her armpits all the time?
>>
This is an old kekke bait he used to spam a few years ago
>>
>>77134927
That's why you do crossfit/hyrox with accessory work on open gym days and play tennis or pickleball casually to mog yuppies.
>>
ITT: anons vaguely roleplay the life of upper middle class suburbanites and attempt to make broad generalizations on abstract concepts as a sort of endeavor in fiction
>>
my uncle works at nintendo and only does equinox sprints at the gettysburg

he is tall and lean like steel and absolutely mogs walmart-core chuds and their low income stare

so yes op poor people lift weights rich people don't
>>
Sara is so trashy even when she tries to look classy, remind me of my ex. literally same type, she was a hot mid that was really fuckable but everytime she was trying to dress up and make up to look good she wasn't as attractive i don't know how to explain it
>>
>>77134927
mmmm athletic woman pits....
>>
>>77134989
the very rich and very poor in the UK are basically the same in terms of interests
>inbreeding
>blood sport
>military service
>alcoholism
>brutality
>never seeing your kids
>horse racing
>gambling
>weird sexual perversions
>double barrelled names
>animal cruelty
>opinions on capital punishment

To add to this, what matters most is your playing and if you sound like shit then you'll sound like shit even with the finest instruments. Closest you'll get to gearfagging is maybe guitar players and their amps, pedals, pickups, etc or electronic music producers with an array of old synths.
>>
>>77134927
Rich people do stupid shit, other rich people see them doing stupid shit and do the same stupid shit, poorfags who want to be rich parrot rich peoples' retarded shit, this thread gets created.
>>
>>77136396
So you're saying I should get a parrot.

INSTRUCTIONS UNCLEAR, DICK STUCK IN PARROT LOL
>>
>>77134927
This woman is a little sex goblin. I despise her.
>>
>>77134927
she's hot but she is not far from having a man-body

and yeah being slim is better than being gigantic surprise.
>>
>>77136504
No no, you got it.
>>
>>77134927
Yes. The exception to this is gay guys. The richer they are, the more muscular they are
>>
>>77135036
But doing 2 strength training sessions a week + cardio is what people in most western countries are taught? Skipping strength training is bad for you
>>
>>77136585
peter thiel says hello
>>
>>77135331
I can see that, but the rich people either just run, go skiing, or boating. THAT'S where you'll find the rich folk
>>
>>77135891
Agree she looks amazing in gym clothes but she isn't hot enough to pull of the "classy" look.
>>77135678
She has nice pits
>>
>>77134927
Just do whatever the fuck you want, if you have to ask or make le ebin observation you don't belong in that class either way. Doing cardio won't magically make you become accepted.

I hate all of the status/class bullshit but let's be real: no one really thinks a meathead will have any kind of brains or grace.

TIL because I do crossfit, I eat kids.

Weird.
>>
>>77134927
Reid Hoffman is a billionaire.
JB Pritzker is a billionaire.

No, being rich doesn't make you fit.
>>
>>77134927
Can someone explain to me why this is arousing? Im not even convinced what gender im looking at.
>>
>>77135891
It’s because class is about far more than looks. Quirky LA influencer is an archetype that isn’t congruent with upper class behavior, so it will create dissonance in the brains of perceptive people like how dressing up a dog would.

Insane dyel thread
