>>77140210Erratic sleeper here, from experience I can tell you: 8 hours is the gold standard. 6 hours is ok for a few days but sleep debt will have to be paid. 5 hours will get you through *one* day. You can show up somewhere after 4 hours of sleep but only your body will be there, you will be brain dead. Anything less than 3 hours of sleep will get you through a few hours of being awake but you will be suffering and your body *will* force you to sleep. You can compensate somewhat with bi-phasic sleeping (sleeping a few hours now, sleeping another few hours later) but one big 8 hour block of sleeping will make you feel better than two four hour blocks of sleep.
