Seriously considering hair frauding and wanted to see what anons had to say about it. I was initially worried about the price but have recently learned that a generic brand can be relatively inexpensive, it actually works out to be cheaper than most vitamins or health supplements.

My biggest concern is routine. Apparently, it's twice a day forever for the best results, but I'm thinking about doing just once a day and if that's not optimal then so be it. Ideally, I'm hoping its just another little thing to add to the nightly routine along with brushing my teeth and moisturising my face etc. However, I've heard you need to wait up to 4 hours for it to dry, and you can't wash it or even go to bed before its dried or you can stain your pillowcase and have it rub all over face etc. This doesnt work for me because I shower at night right before bed. Any anons apply minoxidil before bed without issue?

Alternatively, I could apply it in the morning before work. However, I'm already in a rush in the morning, and I ride a motorcycle to work with a helmet on and then spend a significant portion of the day with another helmet on. Will this affect the effectiveness of the minoxodil, or is that not a problem? Roughly how long does it take to apply? A few minutes? My hair is medium length and quite tangly, would that make it difficult to apply?

Any other things you hadn't considered before taking it that you found to be an annoying inconvenience after trying it for a while? General comments?

Are there any libido or dick side effects of it? Don't want to go limp.

it works but its torture to use. it will make you itchy as fuck. I actually just used it on my eyebrows and they definitely got thicker

Are you trying to become turkish or what?
>>

My hair is strawberry blonde and I barely looked like I even have eyebrows so bulking them up helped my appearance a lot
>>
>>77140475
it works well enough to slow shedding but idk if your hairline/bald spot can be renovated totally...i use it no issues for a couple years . i've noticed if i don't apply it for 2 weeks i see the difference . i think maybe once you stop applying it regularly the body sheds the hair even a bit faster than the "natty" baldness shedding . idk if it's worth it to stay at the balding stage vs just going with the super short fade or baldy
>>
Say good bye to yo dick tho
>>
>>77140475
I've found my own routine for this stuff. I apply 1mm in total a day on the spots that need attention, the top of my forehead, particularly the sides, and at the very back of my head. Been using it for years and I've got great thick hair. I've recently started derma rolling once or twice a week on the spots I'm concerned about, but I haven't been very consistent. Thinking about doing it every day, now that it appears my scalp won't be ripped to bloody shreds. I also take 1mm of fina every fourth day; that regime I prescribed for myself also, just trying to tail it back as much as possible without losing results. I think it's mostly about experimentation. Minoxidil makes my scalp as itchy as fuck from time to time, but its bearable. Better than being bald.
>>
>>77140940
I should note my hair is also long and thick, which ironically can make application a little more difficult, but that's a good thing right. You kinda get used to it; the length is kind of comparable to brushing your teeth, you get it on there, rub it in, and off you go.
>>
lol just take it orally
>The FDA formulation for 5% liquid minoxidil is food safe (vape juice, ethanol and water) and can be safely taken orally if oral min tabs are expensive or rarely prescribed where you live. As a general rule, ~4 drops (0.1ml) = 5mg minoxidil.
>>

I'm only a #2.5 Norwood and I shave my head bald simply because I like the feeling of a sharp razor dragging across my skin. I also like the alien look (clean shaven beard too).
>>
>>77140882
If you go to an eyebrow specialist they can dye it and it looks pretty natural. I know a girl who does it.
>>
>>77141123
I don't get people anyways.
I have longhair norwooding around 1 at close to 40 and these fuckers are complaining about losing their hair when 99% of the time they keep it cut so short the fuck does it matter anyways.
more people should be like you, just shave it down completely. it feels great. nothing worst than being on a humid day and having long hair.
Once I move from 4 fingers to 5 finger gap between eyebrows and hairline i'm shaving it as close as I can.

Finesteride is the thing that kills your dick, not minoxidil. Topical minoxidil doesnt have any hormonal side effects whatsoever, just some potential initial scalp irritation.

>What's the point in using this if you aren't also on finasteride/dut?

you're ultimately correct in assuming it's pointless. it can slow loss but if you're not planning on ever getting on a DHT blocker then you might as well skip ahead and shave it all now
>>
>>77140475
Everytime I've tried Minoxidil I've gotten bad heart palpitations so I just stick to fin and microneedling once a week
>>
>>77141193
I find it funny how many people HAVE to grow a beard when they go bald. I personally find beards annoying as fuck (even though I can grow a thick, full beard in a few months). I think most people only do it because they feel insecure. I personally think going bald on the head and face looks much better. Unless you're WAY overweight and have a double-chin. Skinny, average and muscular guys all look better clean shaven and bald.
>>
>>77141197
most people who are insecure enough to take fin/dut are dysgenic and are not subject to interest of women. go to r/tressless, it's either jeets/pakis or pasty white guys who haven't touched a pussy since high school. it's a special kind of insecurity if you're welling to take multiple pictures of the top of your head to post online too.
>>
>>77141379
We are just going to have to disagree on that.
I grew a beard because shaving daily is actually a painful experience for me due to hair density. It has to be a whole religious experience where I do the warm wrap for about 20 minutes, let the soap sit on my face, gently and slowly shave otherwise I get those horrible rash patches trying to rush job shave where most people can get away with it.
I also think it's kind of weird to excessively groom something that is a natural part of your body. Not saying you shouldn't groom yourself, obviously you should, but every single day to me feels excessive.

As far as the bald+beard I can agree with that.
Honestly people take balding way too seriously and unless you have the bozo clown ring which does look pretty goofy I'd just keep my hair well trimmed and move on with my life.
IDK man, the obsession with needing to look a certain way just seems really fucking gay and feminine to me.
You should be cleaned and organized, but obsession about looks just isn't masculine.

Do you use an actual roller or a stamp/pen? If its a roller, do you find it tangles in your long hair or not really? Do you have to replace the roller every so often or does it last a while?
>>
>>77140475
you can take oral minoxidil instead. It's a little hard to get a prescription for and it's a heart medication so there's increased risk of side effects, but it's more effective and more convenient. Just pop one once a day.

i've been using topical min+fin three weeks now, but i'm not seeing any shedding. does this mean it's not working or should i wait for longer?
>>
>>77140475
It can make your face puffy. It doesn't cause regrowth but slows/stops hair falling out. There are a lot of fakes online. It can cause an increase in body hair. I've been using it for 10 years
>>
>>77140475
The biggest consideration is that min doesn't really do much on its own other than increase density somewhat, but you will still keep losing both density and the hairline as you age. Think of balding like a leaking water container, min is like adding more water, but it's not solving the leak. Fin on the other hand fixes the leak and prevents further hair loss, which keeps your hairline intact, which then gives min a chance to restore it to a degree. Fin wouldn't be so popular if min itself was sufficent. It's not.

People will recommend microneedling, there is little evidence of it having a big effect other than slightly increasing absorption if it's done at shallow depth. There is more evidence for tret improving conversion to minoxidil sulfate, which is the actual active compound, min itself is a prodrug that needs to convert to work.
>>
>>77140475
Unless you're the kind of guy that spends an hour looking at the mirror every morning I cant say I recommend it. It made my hair feel disgusting and it looked like I never showered when I used it. It did help slow the hair loss but having to spend a half hour getting my hair not to look disgusting wasn't worth it. I did use it to fix a few bald patches in my beard though and the hair still grows in those spots now even after not using it for 4+ years.
>>
>>77141277
I've read one anon claim that he puts min on his wiener to enhance erections.
>>
>>77141575
I thot it was just a risk for cats?
>>
>>77140475
worked for me, I use it at least once / day.
generic brand.
>>
I get a mixture of minoxidil and finasteride in a bottle prescribed by my doctor for free. If you apply finasteride locally and not by eating pills, then there are no side effects, like no longer getting hard. I apply roughly two hours before going to bed and don't have problems with it. If you apply it just before, then it could rub off against your pillow. Also, wash your hands after application to avoid accidentally touching your eyes or the inside of your nose, since appearantly thats not good at all.

because cialis systemically forces reduced inflammation. that's it's whole purpose.
DHT only damages hair cells because it concentrates and causes inflammation.
People use pumpkin seeds for the same result, pumpkin seeds have been proven to be closest to natural cialis (alongside ginger, etc) because it forces reduced inflammation.

DHT isn't the problem, cardiovascular ability is.
The largest reason for hair loss is because DHT goes up steadily until 35 years old while your ability to maintain cardiovascular strength (regards to the total system) reduces every single year.
Eventually leading to DHT not systemically being removed.

This is a whole rabbit hole in of itself.
Take it with a grain of salt, but it also is just factual also. I know the hypocrisy of that statement exists, but it does exist.
The more you read into it, basically almost all human health problems come from either
1. Reduction of cardiovascular ability
2. Inefficiency of blood filtration via liver/kidneys
These are both the same thing and yet they are not even close to the same thing. Hints the mystery.

>body doesn't remove DHT quick enough metabolization, body can't systemically reduce DHT
>>
It's a pain in the ass to apply if you have even longer than 2cm hair as it makes it looks greasy and unkempt.
I now keep my hair buzzed at 10mm max because I like the look and no-maintenance so it's not a problem anymore.
I've been applying it not super seriously for 2 years and I feel like it has slowed my receding temples and bald spot but that might be placebo.

using rosemary oil on your scalp daily
massaging your scalp daily
microneedling your scalp twice a week
stop using your 10 in 1 shampoo
doing hair masks with natural ingredients like raw egg, honey, castor oil with other essential oils etc
eating/supplementing more collagen

but you can also go on minox/fin and go infertile like the jews want also

Minoxidil does nothing if you're not also blocking DHT.

Fin/dut and oral min should be good for 99% of men. How far gone are you?
>>
>>77146207
>DHT only damages hair cells because it concentrates and causes inflammation.
DHT causes follicle cells to contract which causes miniaturization, this is a recent study. It even does it regardless of androgen receptor status.

There is no getting around the fact that DHT is what obliterates men's hair. Bloodflow has nothing to do with it. The fattest man one burger away from cardiac arrest can have a perfect NW0 hairline.

I used it for about 9 months. It was having an effect, especially in the temples and front of my hair. I had to stop using it because for some reason after months of use it started to give me blurry vision, which is one of the possible side effects.

A couple of years later the permanent result is nothing on top of my head, but permanent beard gains. I like it. Would have done it just for that.
