using manual toothbrush rn
Can i put it in my ass?
>>77142793Im a smoker and i drink a shitload of coffee while keeping my teeth white enough (just like every /fit/ posters skin is). Motorised toothbrushes dont clean the stains, they are a complete meme. Normal brush plus whitener paste is the way to go. Just dont be a retard, brush correctly and you will have zero (0) problems.
>>77142806Floss is the most important part I think
the sonicare is quieter therefore less annoying, though maybe thats changed in the past few years idk
>>77142877i have both atm and theyre very fucking similar except i cant reach back of my molars with sonicare
>>77142806Whitening is terrible for your enamel.I haven't used Whitening toothpaste in 2 or 3 years and I can't even tell difference anyways. It's better if you just use pro-enamel and pro-mineral toothpaste (like Sensodyne Repair & Protect), then get your teeth professionally whitened by a dentist in the dentist's office once every 5 - 10 years. Perfectly white teeth are actually kind of creepy looking, so i don't recommend the yearly shit celebrities do. Plus, a yearly whitening will still destroy your enamel. 5 - 10 years is safe.
>>77142806Wrong. Electric brushes are a sign that you're in an adults house.
My dumbass gf bought me one of these for Christmas and I just it like a regular tooth brush because I believe the vibrations give you brain damage, which is why the jews are pushing these products to combine with the fluoride that is also giving you brain damage
>>77142803It would be extremely scratchy.
>>77142985This you?
>>77142793this is a meme. brushing is for taking things off your teeth, which you can easily do with any brush or a even just a finger, flossing is for getting things out from between your teeth. flossing is the issue because more food gets stuck in your teeth than on it.
>>77142793Yes, electric toothbrushes remove more plaque and reduce/prevent gingivitis significantly more than manual. It's like this:Manual: 300 strokes per minuteElectric: 40k strokes per minutePlus electric toothbrushes now all have a timer that lets you know you've been brushing for 2 minutes, most of them break up the timer into 30 second quadrants. Yes, perhaps you as a brusher may be so diligent that you don't need this, but many aren't.Go electric. And floss.
>>77143185yeah no shit but which electric
>>77142793if you dont floss it doesnt matter
>>77142873it only damages the gums if they are already inflamed.. that's why you should floss daily
Don't buy rotating, that's an old design that damages gums. The new Oral Bs are magnetic. The head still looks like a rotating one but it does not spin around but quickly moves back and forth like a plaster saw.I used sonic one in the past and I kinda didn't like how the head is so big, now using new oral b magnetic and it is really good.
>>77142809i floss at least twice a day, feels really nice>>77142873>flossing damages gumstry flossing daily for 2 weeks. just get a floss pick, rinse it off between teeth, it takes about 30 seconds
Only thing that matters is that the model you buy is bursty enough.
>>77142793I tried using an electric toothbrush a while ago and it's literally impossible to stop it from molding. I tried to using it so the bottom never gets wet and if it did, I would dry it with a paper towel. It still molded and when it does, it impossibly to clean every crevice. I just used it long enough to go through my bulk purchase of brush heads. It made brushing easier but the mold is a huge negative for me.
the new ones are obviously way better than manual toothbrush no matter how you slice it so at least you know what you pay for (high entry cost + expensive heads + electricity) but dental hygiene is something that's probably worth a few extra bucks
>>77142873>>77143341>>77143740>flossing damages your gumsNo, they bleed purely because you aren't flossing enough. Plaque and food build up in the gumline, and occasional flossing removes that but now there's a gap in your gums which bleeds. The solution is to floss regularly so that the gums heal fully and take up the extra space instead of the plaque and food debris. Then the daily flossing removes whatever is there, but it's not cemented in place and doesn't bleed when removed.
>>77143845>molding do you live ina fucking favela?
>>77143092you're a big gay
>>77143748i had the same problem until i started to flush daily.. it may take months but eventually you dont bleed anymore
>>77143333I don't like the feeling of the sonicare brush, it makes my nose itch. The oral-b one feels better to me.
>>77143873None of this is true, you can drag literal pieces of plaque away from the gum line using a scrapper intact and the gums won't bleed. The act of flossing is what causes bleeding as you are jamming the floss up into the gumline instead of pressing it gently against the gumline and scraping downwards. This is shit 8 year olds learn jeet.
>>77143999Shut the fuck up you gay and wrong retard.
>>77143883It's not really mold but like pink/orange slime. I don't even understand how it gets there, I tilt the brush so water can't even drip to the bottom and keep it dry as much as possible, I wipe it off if it gets wet. It gets stuck inside the crevices and corners and I can never clean it properly after
>>77142793I bought some cheap Amazon sonic toothbrush like 4 years ago, after using an Oral-B for several years. Sonic toothbrush works better, hygienist takes less time to clean my teeth
>>77142793after flossing my brushing (teeth+tongue+etc) with a regular brush is:>brush with water only, rinse>spit 3 times>brush with oxigen peroxide, rinse>spit 3 times>brush with regular toothpaste (softly, it has abrasives) rinse>spit 5 times>brush with regular toothpaste>spit 10 timesadjust the spitting as necesary, but ive foud that spitting agresively ejects the spit better than onions dribble spitting, just get everything out of your mouth and tonguethis method might be "bad" bc in theory it removes good and bad bacteria or wtv but ive been doing it for a while and my mouth is left squeaky clean and i dont end up developing bad breath later or anything weird, i dont have to cope with mints or nothing, i just go on with my day and drink water now and thenthe first brushing gets the food out, the oxigen peroxide nukes every organic residue and dissolves any plaque bs, and the toothpaste brushing at the end is a nice touch to go over every surface and make it official
>>77144266>typing this much for a meme replyGo outside dude.
>>77142793Sonicare is to shake all the shit deep in your gums. Most people think you put it on your teeth but you are supposed to vibrate your gums
>>77143732Is this what is causing gum recession? Spent 10 minutes this morning in the hygienist chair having my gums absolutely stabbed to shit and my sensitive teeth lit up like a christmas tree with the ultrasonic cleaning... I'd very much like to avoid that in future.I floss dilligently but I'm going to be more careful and adjust my technique to avoid gum irritation, but I get the feeling the rotating oral b I've been using for years is beating up my gums even when I try to be very gentle with it.The battery is basically fucked at this point, so it's due a replacement. I might try the philips sonicare and see if that style of brush is gentler.I don't know what's going on anyway. Seems like it used to be enough just to brush twice a day with a manual. Never any issues. Then flossing became mandatory. Then electric toothbrush. But even with all that now every 6 months I've got to have my teeth scraped clean? So without highly specialised dental treatment and equipment our teeth would just be totally fucked after a few years even with dilligent hygiene practices? Something in my oral care routine is probably not getting the job done right or actively harming my teeth.
>>77144311Just done some research and apparently I'm supposed to be flossing into the gumline (gently) when I've actually been actively avoiding flossing all the way to the gumline. So maybe that explains why I have to get so much cleaning done.
>>77144273i included the spit detail for flavor but i legit do this it wasnt intended as a joke, ik it looks retarded put in writing like this but my mouth is as clean as it can be
>>77143919for you :*
>>77142803that's the Anal-E
>>77145240You should be banned.
>>77145467He gets banned constantly.
>>77145484Hes been banned so many times it should be permanent by now but this place is gay and the 1 single faggot mod doesn't give a shit. I wonder what the retard who moderates this shit hole looks like. There's an 80% chance it's Indian.
>>77145650All I know is I could 101% hold them down and rape them.
>>77145659>rape the modWhy are you gae
>>77145718Trans women are womenIt's not gay
>>77142793As a sonicare user, get oral-b, the mechanism of vibration does not last, mine lasted years but now it's loud as fuck and barely transfers the vibration to the actual brush itself.I suspect this is why Sonicare tells you to only place the brush on the teeth and to not actually brush with it, I brush with them and I think that actually broke it down faster. If you're an actual brusher, just get the oral-b.
>>77147367>use something incorrectly>explicitly get told not to do that>it breaks
>>77147726No it fucking doesn't, my Panasonic is 3 yo and i see zero deterioration, Sonic use almost as if was regular toothbrush, never floss it wrecks gums essential for teeth health, regular complete care toothpaste, flush with clean water after meals. Brush once a day, forget about teeth problems. Yeah reflux- fix it if u have it, acid is no bueno for teeth, for anything but stomach really
