30+ /fit/ thread

How you holding up lads?
>>
>>77146621
Good I still feel like I'm 20 but I'm 31
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SHSQMCFCLlc
My strict press pr today
>>
Benching the 3.3pl at 36 and it’s still growing although it takes like 3 months for +5lbs
>>
The weight loss hasn't been as steadily going down the last couple of months, but I did hit my lowest adult weight in that time. I've been working on upper body for the first time, and it's paying off.
Dated a 19 year old for a week before she broke up with me. All my friends seriously disapproved of the age gap.
>>
>>77146638
Brah you supposed to have kids at 30+
>>
>>77146656
Yeah. Hence the 19 year old.

Ah the “need to expressedly say the young age of a girl I dated” 30+ 4chan poster. BTW any 19 year old who would date a guy in his 30s is a hole
>>
>>77146713
She was actually a fantastic young lady. Don't call her a hole. You betray your own immaturity using such language.

I'm 30 and I'm in the best shape of my life and feel better than ever. If only I hadn't injured myself when I was 25! I'd be an absolute machine. Though that injury also led me to pay more attention to my body's needs, so there's a touch of irony there.
Legitimately, it felt like everything started clicking into place on my 30th birthday
>>
>>77146628
Damn mak I thought all you did was kettlebell stuff now. happy to see you still hit the gym.
>>
Fitness wise, fine. Lifewise eh. I've turned to doordashing. My job wasn't giving me much work. I've been busy so I haven't been working out much but I found hitting each lift once a week is plenty. I've even lost some weight but still hit pretty much the same lifts.

All women are holes.

>wife, dog, house, engineering degree
>probably autistic/ADHD, been recovering from a period of burnout for the last few months (tried talking to a (((psychiatrist))) looking for assessment recently and she just wanted to put me on anxiety meds; I'm not convinced that's anything more than a "band-aids as a service" plan)
>leaning more and more away from having kids for a variety of reasons
>~$120k salary at hybrid travel job, saving up to buy more real estate, also hoping for a promotion and less air travel this year
>probably looking at a career change some time in the next few years despite being in a cushy job
>fatter than I want to be, but not terribly fat; slowly transitioning diet towards weight loss
>back hurts less often than it used to since I started stretching before bed, doing breathing exercises, and walking more
>slowly reintroducing cardio and really enjoying it (the warmup and breathing techniques in the book Body, Mind, and Sport are helping a lot)
Overall, not terrific, not terrible. I feel like my thirties so far have been mostly about slowing down and taking better care of myself. I'm also trying to establish a trajectory into a healthy and happy life in my forties and fifties.
Thanks for reading my blog.

A fantastic young lady wouldn’t be dating a guy in his 30s who’s on 4chan dumbass

Alcohol just makes me sad, tired, and barely gives me a buzz anymore. Used to get euphoric silly drunk. Has this happened to anyone else?
>>
43 here.
>upsides
Still lean with full head of hair, numbers going up, test at 750.
>downsides
Started having some hip and SI joint pains, so I've been doing these gay ass pelvis stability exercises, targeting mostly glute min/med and deep core. Wouldn't you know it, squatting and deadlifting heavy is not enough to keep those fuckers strong, turns out mine are weak as shit, but I'm working on them.

Also: I find women below 30 insufferably stupid to the point it can't be compensated for with great tits anymore.
>>
>>77146880
can you share some kegels stiffening exercises with us uncs? im sure im weak there too
>>
>>77146638
>All my friends seriously disapproved of the age gap.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with age gaps. Stop being a pussy faggot that lets others tell him how to live.
If they get in the way of your happiness, they are not your friends.
>>
I turn 30 in May. Am I allowed in this thread?
>>
How do you forgive yourself for all the stupid shit you did as a teenager and younger? I look back and cringe so fucking hard at some of the stuff I did.

Turned 32 a couple weeks ago. Ran 95 miles last week. Going to blast a 2:55 marathon next month
>>
It’s not even 9pm and I’m sleepy. Whatever you do, don’t turn 40. just go on without me bros, it’s over.
>>
>>77146978

What the fuck?

Retired at 26. Want more muscle mass but I am not willing to eat more. So fuck it.

>>
>>77146993
Why are you running 20 miles?
>>
Just started my cut. My wife is six months pregnant so she hates me for the timing.
>>
>>77146996
That's what you do when you are trying to qualify for Boston and Chicago eventually
>>
>>77147012
Okay. Running 20 miles just seems so gay to me.
>>77147002
Why couldn’t you get a baby without a wife? Being married is so pathetic.
>>
>>77146621
just turned 30, started taking testosterone, work 2 jobs, parents are retired, my bro 40 and I moved back into with our parents. parents weren't very rich growing up so didn't save a whole lot of money. 300k for each of my siblings to split when shit hits the fan. helping them pay the mortgage, brother is on disability for 3 years from knee surgery, barely got it this year, so couldn't help out or work. all the responsibility kind of goes to me. I spent my life trying to change my habits but always fall back in. I stress eat, so im back to 55lbs overweight. I'm still hitting the gym, but i feel like im emotionally drained, so when i get home i just want to sleep or play video games. Dad and mom are happy were home, but at the same time, wan't to go rent an apt. I feel like i should have had kids and a wife now, but already accepted that won't have that with the way the world is. Also i'm a big autist with panic attacks. Any little bad thought does it.
>>
>>77147002
Oh nvm. This is the 30s general. Nvm.
I was like wtf, why this guy married with a wife.
>>
>>77146621
42 years old, never been stronger, the 15lbs of fat is much harder to lose though.
27 bar dips today followed by 23
>>
i want to tell these young bucks that it’s not all about moggin and maxxin, but i also remember what it feels like
>>

Just got scuba certified last year. Gonna dive in Indonesia this May and in Okinawa Japan in November for my 30th. I should be happy but a part of me is realizing time has gotten extremely fast since 2020 for some reason
>>
>>77147022
It IS all about mogging and maxxing. Youre just old now.
>>
>>77147026
its actually about strengthening your joints and tendons and ligaments so you can be active and strong into old age, unless you plan on dying of AIDS or something
>>
>34y old boomer
>got the body (5’8 171lb lean)
>got the car
>got the decent job (88k before tax)
>got the fake friends to keep up appearances
>got the condo
>got the fashionable clothes
>lifting since 21
>got the sports car (ok not really but it’s a i30. It’s decent)
I did everything right. Everything since 22 grinding. Noticed what’s missing?

I should have listened to the blackpillers. They were the correct ones, doing everything right and “making it” doesn’t give you shit if you’re average face manlet like me. I mog majority of my peers on income & social circle alone yet I can’t even get a date. I can’t even get jeet or Asian girls, I live in a state where even 6ft is not that tall, I listened to redpill fags on here for years tell me it’s not over. Never even kissed btw

But all I did was bury my head in the sand. Looks DO matter, a lot. Now I’m greyer and uglier, balder, and sadder. If I listened to the blackpill guys at 22 I would have saved for LL or some surgeries, hell at least a head start. Take it from a jaded defeated boomer, looks determine this shit. I know, I wanted the roomers to be wrong so bad but it’s true
Godspeed to you all. If you’re under 30, focus on getting pretty/lean and keeping your looks. Everything else is cope

I’m THE gymcel
>>
>>77147043

33 year old boomer here
Started strength training two months ago from skelly mode
The mental gains are better than expected, anxiety and difficulty getting out of the bed have vanished, I hope it's not a temporary buff
Earning good money while living in Vietnam
So far every year had been better than the one before. Feeling blessed t b h
Might get my job replaced by AI we will see. I saved money to prepare for it.
>>
>>77147046
What are you doing to meet girls? Having a gf is more about being likable and approachable. Just go outside and look at the average dude walking with a gf, they didn't need no "grind" just having a social life and being genuinely out there will have given them the opportunity.

this is what the majority of men are though. their entire self-wroth comes down to their income and material possessions.

lost all my gains last year and couldnt gym due to a car crash and i dropped to my lowest weight since i was a teenager, 167lb. got back in the gym june/july just doing machines to move again, felt good enough to get serious under a barbell in august and on the bulk.

now 216lb feeling and looking good again.
>guy at shop was trying to sell me something thought i was too young, tfw im 11 years older than he was and he was saying im bigger than his friend next to him
>walk to gym with singlet on guy drives past and sticks his head out the window, "fuck yeah brother get those gains!"
>guy asks for a spot at the gym saying i look strong
im not terribly strong but a decent frame with prominent traps gives that impressive i guess, but i appreciate the mires

34. I know that my life is gonna end in suicide anyway so what's the point? I haven't achieved or experienced anything in my life to this point because of being a socially avoidant loser. In the modern society, people are already despondent and hopeless about the current and future. And this is for people who are actually living normal lives with a wife or at least should have good dating prospects, a good career, housing, finances, health, etc., and they've also had a lifetime of positive experiences to look back fondly on.

What chance in hell does a person like me have? I don't even have any goals I want to achieve. A normal person isn't supposed to allow themselves to get to the age of 34 living like this and never caring to make a change. A person in their 30s wasn't supposed to waste their teens, 20s, and early 30s. People at my age are supposed to be a decade into a career making good money, have a lifetime of relationships that they learned from, know what they want from life, having stable familial relationship, hobbies, fitness, etc. I've basically been a ghost for my entire life.
>>
32 now. Only started trying to get fit at 31. I'm the healthiest I've ever been in my adult life and I wish I knew how fun lifting was because my only experience with working out prior was cardio only and that shit is not fun. My gains are still fairly minor but my mental health gains are through the roof

>>
>>77147109
God damn dude get a fucking grip. Nothing is over. Pick something and get autistically good at it. Become a master so you can be proud of yourself for your mastery. Forget everything else. Your purpose should be creating art and living for the satisfaction it brings. Get fit in the mean time but dont obsess over it. Stop whining. You can do good still

Got some wacky muscle imbalance thats twisting all my shit up. Caused poor form, resulting in back, knee, shoulder problems. Figured out it was from a tight hip flexor and it's gotten better. Just bought $200 worth of bpc to speed up all the carnage now. Other than that im in great shape. Get mires a lot but no gf so meh
