Hypertrophy is adding actual tissue to your muscles, mostly type 2 fast twitch depending on your training.
Drawing water into it is "bodybuilding" but not anabolic. Yes muscle needs carbohydrates or any energy for that matter to signal growth bla bla bla we get it but at your low level of natty amateur lifter i doubt having a lot of water weight would be helpful

ok so ive knew about these for years and tried some, its a "it depends" question.

biggest question is

>how filled are your glycogen reserves
because it really depends on that in the end


lets say you do some cardio and train, and are like 80kg ok trained human.

you have ballpark 700g of glycogen reserves in your body.

>you deplete your glycogen stores by training
if you do heavy workout, lets say you spent 200g (also this depends on your metabolic "engine type" and workout and duration, some spend more fat some more glucose etc).

that day, you can eat like 400g of carbs and probably none will go to fat, because your muscles lack glycogen + after a heavy workout they supercompensate and fill you up.

so if you pop these after workout, it makes 0 sense.

only way these could help is by blunting the insulin response for overall health and mood. not really gonna help. your stores are full, you brought in some new glucose, your stores are full so nowhere to "store it"


where they shine would be this situation

>you are training hard
>you do cardio
>you are cutting

and you go on a binge or something or have a reup day. then you can kinda keep insulin mid keep the machine running and have it be stored there.

from all of these id prefer cyanidin 3 glucoside, C3G or a bunch of blueberry/elderberry extracts.

it does the same thing as these, but also has a bunch of antioxidants, some synergistic effects with caffeine + helps fat metabolism and turning white fat cells into brown
