Some people say it is magical and you should even take it regularly, others say it is a poison. Bayer indeed has a shady past (HIV hemophiliacs). What do you think?
>>
As long as there are no longterm independently conducted placebo controlled studies we will never know so you might as well go with whatever you feel like

It's a fairytale drug. I take 375mg everyday with ginger drink. But you will hear creepy tales about it causing ulcers, hearing loss, bleedings etc, your amygdala will activate and you will not take it and go on with your life just like any normie.

Just because you take it and dont immediately die after a year doesn't mean its good for you

The people that take that advice will develop kidney malfunction with time.

TL;DR: if the doctors shill the pill, it's bad

My wife is pregnant and some fat Indian doctor told her to take aspirin every day - that makes aspirin bad by default.
They also shill pre-natal vitamins instead of telling her to eat normal food.
>>
>>77150157
Congratulations on the baby! Yes, she doesn't need aspiring and pre-natal vitamins. Just eat normal food and get vitamins from fruit.
>>
>>77150157
Congrats anon. You should switch doctors to one that doesn't worship cow shit.
>>
>>77150081
the only reason doctors don't recommend taking aspirin daily anymore is because it's out of patent and it's not in their drug brochure they're paid to shill anymore.

My mom had 1 (one) high blood pressure reading and the first and only thing the doctor did was offer her drugs to lower it.
>no diet changes
>no exercise routine
>no lifestyle changes at all to address why the blood pressure was high 1 (one) single time
Doctors are just pill pushers. They don't give one single shit about making people healthy, they just want the kickbacks from their pharmaceutical reps.
>>
>>77150314
they're probably able to be sued if you hurt yourself exercising based on their recommendations, plus there's no kick back if there's no prescription.
there are so many things wrong with this country but all we can do is argue about orange men and men molesting women and playing in their sports and not enforcing any laws.
>>
>>77150081
What do you people even take it for?

I swear. Americans just fucking eat pills for breakfast, dinner and lunch for no real reason.
>>
>>77150346
I am actually from Europe. My friend takes it because Ray Peat recommends it. He has some bogus reasons. But he says it is very good to take it regularly and that he sometimes takes it 5 times a day because it "lowers inflammation of organs".
>>
>>77150352
Why the fuck are people listening to what ray peat recommends?
That guy doesn't have any achievements other than writing bogus articles and papers
>>
>>77150378
That's what I told him. I told him Ray Peat looks like he's about to die in that interview.
>>

>I pay for medical advice that I then don't take.
Weird to flex, but okay, bro.
>>
>>77150081
it lowers blood pressure. that's a pretty good trick for OTC pills that cost less than anything else on the shelf

>why would americans want to lower their blood pressure?
i wonder..

Ray Peat is based.

5 times a day sounds excessive but I still think it can be useful.

So I should stop scraping radium off of old china and putting it in my shaker bottle?

blood thinner, helps prevent damage from fat oxidation or something too.

Ray Peat took it and now he's dead.
Imagine still taking advice from him.

I paid for the ultrasound, to see the kid.
What the Indian chooses to write in her notes, that's her business - but I'm allowed to make fun of her.

>plus there's no kick back if there's no prescription
That's the reason plain and simple. Do you know why prescription medicine ads are allowed to be advertised on tv and video ads? It's not so the average normie can learn about the new drugs. It's incentives to the broadcasting companies to not talk shit about the pharmaceutical industry.
>drug X has been found to have serious side effects but the manufacturer pays us $10,000,000/year so we'll just not say anything.

I won't trust an indian either, but learn to separate wheat from the chaff and always get more than one opinion/perspective. Categorically ignoring everything is retarded.
>>
>>77150297
This is true, aspirin is fairly cheap also compared to other medications.
>>
>>77150908
He was also old tho. But yeah, he didn't look super healthy.
>>
>>77150908
He started healthmaxxing pretty late IIRC.
>>
It's a balancing act whether it acts as good or poison and you cannot do it optimally so unless you HAVE to take something, it's better to simply eat real food and avoid supplements/drugs.
>>
>>77150157
>>77150297
Doctors recommend Aspirin for old people because old people are more likely to have atherosclerosis and therefore more likely to have a myocardial infarction. There's a debate at the moment between the stroke Doctors because taking Aspirin daily reduces the likelihood of you having an ischaemic stroke but increases the likelihood of you having a haemorrhagic stroke.
>>77150314
Loads of people have hypertension irrespective of whether they have a balanced diet or exercise. Most patients who have modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular disease will not diet, exercise, or change their lifestyles even when you explicitly tell them that what they are doing is literally killing them. Prescribing a patient one tiny little pill drastically increases the likelihood of you as a Doctor actually achieving some kind of result for your work, instead of the same patient coming back to you a year later for a checkup and still having high blood pressure and having done nothing to change their lifestyle habits.
