Is there any actual reason to keep training once you hit your forties and your body starts to shut down?
>>
>>77150899
Your body doesn't “start to shut down” after 40.
>>
>>77150901
Sure it does. Your reflexes take a nose dive. You gain weight faster and it's much harder to lose it. It takes much longer to recover from injuries and intense workouts. Strength plummets along with test production, etc.
>>
>>77150907
Sounds like a (You) problem desu senpaifamalam
>>
>>77150899
yes because stopping will make the "shutting down" even worse.

>t.44yo

Some factors may be not as good as they were in your twenties, but your body most certainly doesn't "start to shut down", as you wrote. The fun thing about being a zillennial is that I get to see the lamentations of the millennials ahead of time. Many years ago dudes online were getting angsty about finishing their teen years as a virgin. A decade ago it was all about when you hecking hit 25 your neuroplasticity turns off and you can't learn new things. 5 years ago the conversation was about everything you need to have done before you become a "30 year old boomer". Now 40 is on the horizon and you're still doing the same old shit. You'll keep kicking the can down the road, whining about whatever milestone is next, and then you'll die.

My 57 year old dad ran a full ironman btw.
>>
>>77150899
>Is there any actual reason to . . . [train]
no
unironically
>>
>>77150899
For a guy who had experience in kickboxing and was a former champion it's crazy how he couldn't put down a chunky nog and barely scrapped by with a win by one point. It was honestly kind of embarrassing to watch.
>>
>>77150907
People say this about every age, 25, 30, 50, etc. You choose when or if your body falls apart. Most people give up on themselves after college but there are also some guys in their 50s that are healthier than most people on this board in their 20s.
>>
>>77150899
is this the guy who used to stream wow and played paladin?
>>
>>77150899
Is that mexican a nazi?
>>
>>77150899
that's all the more reason to train you faggot.
>>
>>77150899
Every new message is a little rush of dopamine. He will be forgotten shortly after he dies and leave no legacy.
>>
>>77151012
It's Gypsy Crusader a half-mexican half-indian who larps as a White nationalist.
>>
>>77151065
yeah I swear there was a wow streamer called gypsy crusader who larped as a nazi too. he also lifted and was in shape. but maybe it's a different guy.
>>
>>77151129
the wow pvper is just crusader no gypsy
>>
>>77150907
Your body starts to do all that by your late teens
>>
>>77151065
He’s Romanian not Indian at all nice subversion tactics moshe
>>
>>77151065
indian as in native american?
>>
>>77150899
Is that SS tatt real? Did they just televise him publicly with that?
>>
>>77150971
He could never beat Jason Luv in a fight
>>
>>77150899
>>77150907
"Starvation mode" tier retardation, this isn't how the body works. The reason why people age like shit at 40 is because they don't take care of their body. What percentage of the population do you think is actually a healthy weight, properly trains, and eats healthy?
>>
>>77151065
>larps as a White nationalist.
no larp, he's really bout that life cuh
>>
>>77150899
No, absolutely not. On your 40th birthday, stop doing anything beneficial.
>>
>>77151212
Yes.
They covered it up with a fake tat but the fake rubbed off during the fight.
>>
>>77150907
This was definitely posted by some fatass that doesn't lift
>>
>>77150907
That only happens if you eat seed oils, bread, vegetables, coffee, fake butter, corn syrup processed sugar slop, and pesticided fruits. Eat real food, get a lot of sunlight, and your body will go back to healthy.
>>
>>77150899
Tf makes you think you shut down in your 40s? Don't be a bitch, and you'll still be crushing it in your 70s.
>>
>>77151225
Eating healthy is the hardest for people because 90% of groceries stores are pure slop with toxic chemicals to cause infertility and weakening of the body.
>>
>>77150907
>Your reflexes take a nose dive
I beat Ninja Gaiden on NES without losing a life for the first time recently and I'm 42yo. I literally have ninja reflexes.
>>
>>77151321
>get a lot of sunlight
make sure to wear sunscreen though! At least on your face. Otherwise you'll look like an old leather bag when you're older.
>>
>>77150899

>>

The gap between someone who trains and doesn't train gets bigger with age
>>

>My 57 year old dad ran a full ironman btw.

My father was the same, doing ironman and regular triathlons a couple of times a year.
Then he collapsed one day after a triathlon and turned out he had atrial fibrillation.
Had to go on blood thinners for a year or two and was told he couldn't cycle or run for a while.
They eventually did surgery on him to fix it but between the blood thinners making him nearly pass out every time he stood up to not being able to cycle a few times a week like he always did, he aged significantly in like 2 years.

He's back cycling and weight training now but he just seems much frailer to me now
>>
>>77150899
me at 50% capacity is still superior to most people.
> Is there any actual reason
what reason did you ever have?
>>
>>77150935
43, should I hop on trt? Recovery starting to slow down and fats a bit more stubborn these days.

Trt if you are testing low or have actual symptoms not related to being fat, sedentary etc
I would look into what hgh affects and how it drops after 30 and the benefits of low dose hgh
I started that and trt around 38 and was noticeably leaner in 6 months
Don't bother with doctors, you'll either get the run around, they won't know shit and/or they will outright refuse (hgh isn't allowed for anti-aging anymore only genetic issues, thanks fda faggots)
get an independent test and buy them online, it's an IQ filter as a bonus
>>
>>77151165
>>77151209
He’s not actually half Indian like that anon said but Gypsies migrated out of India into Europe.
>>
>>77150971
I honestly think physicality is underrated as much people like to say skill gap is everything. You’ll have feral nigs scraping by off raw power and athleticism like Ngannou and Deontay Wilder.
>>
>>77150899
>start training prior to 40s
>reasonably develop to an intermediate level if you're not lazy or retarded
keep training
>might not set PRs but you don't hurt your back moving furniture or picking up your kids/grandkids
>maintain more mobility and muscle mass in the later years of your life
>force surviving family to buy a Rogue (TM) XXL coffin because your lats are just that big
stop training
>lose muscle faster
>get injured more easily doing mundane shit
>end up getting fat in addition to being old and weak
>die a failure
>no one shows up to your funeral
>>
>>77150899
>>77150899
That is an insane question. This is when it is most important. If you don't you will fall apart FAST
>>
>>77150971
He took the fight on short notice and hadn't been training cardio beforehand. People underestimate how much a boxing round drains your stamina.
>>
>>77150899
38 here and I am in better shape than my college years.
>>
>>77150901
>kysbcyngmi

This. 3 rounds of boxing is killing your stamina as a non boxer. People don't know what they're talking about.

he isn't a non boxer though he has an ammy record in muay thai

I was expecting him to be way sharper but him being out of practice and taking the fight on short notice makes sense
>>
>>77150907
Mayweather is 50 and still in great shape
>>
>>77150907
Test production and strength only becomes slightly worse as you age, it all depends on your lifestyle and training.
>>
>>77151321
This, also walk a lot.
>>
>>77151321
Coffee is good tho as long as it doesn't ruin your sleep.
>>
>>77150971
In his defence he trained alone with no team or coach
>>
>>77150899
If anything that's a reason to train harder
>>
>>77150899
>body starts to shut down?
This doesn’t happen after hitting 40, zoomie. And, for sure there are MORE REASONS to train at mature age than young. Read all the comments before this one.
>>
>>77150899
All the reasons to train in the first place still exist as you get older. In fact most of the reasons become more important.
>>
>>77150907
Only if you’re a low test genetic loser like yourself
>>
>>77150907
lmao at all the cope replies from oldcels. 40s and its fucking over man.

Yes, significantly improved quality of life and significantly reduced risk of fall-related injury. Do it so your kids don't have to look after you 24/7.

If you want to go on trt, just go on trt. Don't be a gay redditor and pretend you have a disease. Scientifically, and functionally, there isn't much difference between 300 and 800 total t.

You'll also learn that total t doesn't matter that much when you are supplementing with exogenous test. Free is the number that matters more. Even on 50mg a week your free will be well outside of range. 100mg a week and you will have more than double the free t of a high t natty.

If you are going to go trt, do the whole deal. Get on hgh and cialis too. Even if your dick works, cialis dick is its own animal.

>>
>>77150899
I'm 44 and threads like these seem bizarre to me. You shouldn't really physically break down until your 60s or 70s. People age fast because they eat stupid modernist diets that malnourish them, more common in women than men though.

Cope, anyone over 30 its over and unc status.

This.
Physique > technique.
Take the most skilled but weakest boxer, think featherweigh worldchampion, now put him in a ring vs a 6'6" WSM strongman with zero boxing training, everyone knows who wins.

His notice was literal weeks before the event, well over ten years past his prior fighting retirement, against an opponent who's been actively fighting and training for the past year, in a boxing match when his whole background was as a kickboxer who heavily favored his legs over his arms.

Having him fight with one hand tied behind his back wouldn't have even been a step much farther than what they already did.
>>
>>77150899
I have spent my entire career in or adjacent to senior healthcare. Remaining fit, never mind real physical training, will save you a lot of misery and expensive care. Watching these people who were 90, 80, or even 70 just be totally fucked is what drove me to take my health seriously. Imagine being a fat, broken down piece of shit who can't wipe his own ass and is totally helpless. That will help you train.
