Pajeet herb that comes from extremely polluted land of India saar. It works the same as strong SSRIs. And can fuck you up in the long term. Leading to impotence, adhedonia, erection issues and general uncaring about everything and everyone.Herbal SSRI. ALL the PubMed studies made by Pajeet scientists
>interactions with 5 HT receptors, medium long term consequences unknown
>direct SSRI action, medium long term consequences unknown
>adrenal corticosteroid and mineralcorticoid suppression, medium long term consequences unknown
>interaction with estrogen receptors, medium long term consequences unknown
>recent in vivo non pajeet study found a GABAergic activity and a dopaminergic agonist activity, medium long term consequences unknown

Stay away from this ''life changing'' pajeet scam.

It's not a serotonin reuptake inhibitor

I tried taking this before I saw all these threads and it didn't do anything. Months of taking this shit and nothing.
>>
>>77160844
that's the joke dude.
It's a literal SSRI, but they can't sell it at amounts that are actually medicinal because that's illegal and would require a prescription.
Newsflash this is most supplements.

So you're taking some jeet plant literally farmed from india full of lead for the pleasure of doing nothing. Unironically you could down half that bottle and it would still be less potent than a single 50mg SSRI pill.
Oh also, it's a fucking SSRI. you wouldn't want to take it.
>>
>>77160844
Same. Took regularly for months but never felt a difference
>>

Ashwagandha is not an SSRI, rather than inhibiting serotonin reuptake, it works by suppressing the stress response. Ashwagandha has also been approved by /fit/ peaters because it has been proven to reduce cortisol(the stress hormone). Stop spamming, Mr.Goldberg. You are literally equating the gifts of nature created by God with the chemical shits produced by big pharmas.

>>77162242
Ashwagandha reduces cortisol and increases testosterone. Ray Peat loved ashwagandha.
>>
>>77155934
>bro i've been chemically castrated by SSRIs
>i'm no longer depressed or anxious!
>because i don't feel anything!!
>>
>>77163412
Dose yourself with hemlock, another gift of nature created by God
>>
>>77155934
I took that before and I had my blood test done and my cortisol was low so I got off of it and went back to normal

>>
>>77165275
>Beware of doing this thing. By the way, here's how to avoid doing this thing.
>>
>>77157849
I want to feel more like this compared to the neurotic mess I am but ashwaganda didn't do anything
>>
>>77165809
You really don't. there is a reason SSRIs are called the tranny designer drug.
it makes you feel nothing, nothing.
there is no joy or stress and psychosis is common because the human body requires joy, stress, relief, etc to regulate its hormones and neurotransmitters.

if you can't feel relief, you can't release the hormones that reduce excessive cortisol.
if you can't feel x, you can't do y.
idk man what to tell you, deal with your fucking problems m8. this shit ain't good for anyone.
>>
>>77165817
I have sky-high cortisol (2x the upper limit of the bracket that was indicated on the paper) and low test (as a result of the high cortisol, said the doc)

I have of course a very busy work and family life, and sure I could eat cleaner and sleep better, but I'm also known as someone stoic and relaxed, and I don't really feel stressed. What could I do to get that cortisol in check ?
>>
>>77165837
You say you don't feel stress, but dude. anxiety and stress can be automatically generated.
I think autonomously is a better word.

Examples (two examples)
>Shoulders
I will for multiple weeks, have stabbing shooting pain in one shoulder going into my neck. It has been so common place through most of my life I just don't even notice it.
It is a chronic source of
>HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY
signals going into my brain that equals a blur of white noise.
Every once in a while, such as this very second since we are discussing it. I become conscious of this, and I do a very specific set of stretches that greatly reduce this pain.
I hold stress in my shoulders.
After doing this I sleep pretty fucking good.
Anxiety and stress are reduced, because those neurotransmission signals or white noise reduce the brain processing of a constant binary electrical signal. Brain relaxes, gets better rest. etc.
Secondly my bottom right hip (glute median) is fucked because of a gimp leg.
Same thing, stretch it specific form. Pain signal is gone.

Every once in a while, I will remember both at the same time and I sleep like a fucking baby.
I wake up and I am ready to fuck, I am moving, I am active, I have not happy, BUT I AM NOT STRESSED.

You can be not stressed in the literal emotional sense, but it doesn't mean you're not stressed in a health sense.
Diet can cause stress, lack of fucking exercise can cause stress (overabundance of energy tends to cause anxiety in people, most people are happier when they are just slightly tired at the end of the day, sleep better etc).
I seriously don't know what to tell you m8.
I can give you all the hints in the world, but you are the one who has to explore the world. I can't do it for you.

and this is eventually what everyone with mental health problems learns. You are alone and that's okay, others can help you, but at the end of the day you have to actually fix it on your own.
The struggle is the journey.

It's supposed to be beneficial for everyone by balancing the hormone profile, even if you are already low cortisol (like me), but I've seen no benefits from it. In situation when I feel anxious I prefer L-Theanine over Ashwagandha and if I need to stabilize my mood Vitamin D and a B complex do the trick. The best use I could find was to take half a dose before bed, which improved my sleep a tiny bit but not much. Again, there are better alternatives (like Magnesium, Glycine). I gave the bottle to a friend who's in a high stress management job. He took it and said he didn't notice much but also no downsides. When he finished the bottle he did not buy it himself.

>>77165856
Also, what I haven't tried yet but seems more promising for my own purposes: Rhodiola rosea. I struggle more with (mental) fatigue and stress resilience. Ashwagandha technically covers more dimensions and has stronger evidence especially for stress reduction, but if you don't want to reduce stress but rather want to be able to handle stress better, I think it may be worth a shot.
