>>77165200I don’t see how this prevents me to lift weights 3 times a week at home
>>77165200Who cares? I'd give up all my gains for a wife and kids
>>77165200›womens issues
>>77165200Of course. How are you supposed to run with that? Get a real jogger.
>>77165200Only for 1 year dude. Son is 6y old, I completely recovered and now stronger than ever
My brother was 150kg obese (hes tall though, like 6'5)He cut down to 90kg He got a gfThey got marriedFast-forward a few years they now have kidsHes back to 150kg Whats funny is his wife was never fat, and shes back to her normal weight now after having kids, so idk what my brothers excuse is...
>>77165200But it doesn’t. I have two kids and a third one on the way and I still lift 3-4 times a week, play ice hockey once a week and tennis once a week and I still have plenty of time to play with my kids.
>>77165235Try it
>>77165200live in a white country unlike muttmericas car shitscape and just go outside with your kids. go hiking and camping and shit. i dont have kids, but my buddies who do regularly go hiking in the mountains with their kids and are in better shape than they were in their 20s.
>>77165200Wife and I had staggered shifts so it wasn't too hard to get sleep. Probably would have been easier with an aunt, grandma or sister in law living with us but it went okay.
>>77165200Problem solved
>>77165239LolLmao even
>>77165200I exercise in the morning before my wife and kids wake up. I honestly prefer running in the dark now.>>77165235Good luck having a home gym with toddlers. My 1yo dropped a 3kg dumbbell on my wife's face once, and we decided that gym memberships are the way to go. I'll probably build a home gym once the kids are old enough to actually use it, it'll be fun training with them.

>he doesnt take his children to the gym with him to inspire his daughter to seek high value men, to instill discipline and hard work in his son and get infinite mires from women
>>77165777>Takes his daughter to the gym just to fantasize about her fucking muscular menWhat a sick fuck
>he's complaining about something completely optional
I got my shit cut but before I did, I dreamt I'd take the kid with me at 6 in the morning while the wife sleptmake the desk swoon over the baby & defacto watch him for me

This post can't be any more wrong. People that give up on lifting when they have kids either didn't really ever build up the habit, or are only doing it for superficial ephemeral reasons. Don't actually have discipline. I wake up at 0245 in order to lift before work at 0700 so I can spend as much time with my kids after work. From their perspective dad is just jacked. Tussling and tossing the kids around with your gains is one of the best feelings in the world. Your sons aspire to be as big and strong their dad. My son carrying a bag of potatoes or charcoal from the car:>I'm strong like you, right daddy?>On day my arms will be big like yours, right daddy?>Throw me dad, throw me!Lifting for yourself is one thing, lifting to inspire your kids is another. Weak post, very weak post indeed. Also, pulling your kid trailer while riding your bike, buldging quads and massive defined lats/shoulders in a stringer while you pass fat fucks puttering along is the ultimate mog. Don't reply to me OP, you're not worthy.
Marriage and kids only scare the fuck outta me because of divorce. I grew up poor and made a ton of money in my 20s so I'm always paranoid as fuck some roostie might end up taking more than half of it and leaving me where I started.
>>77165200you don't need that much time to workout. you can lift in 20 minutes to be honest.
>>77165200a fitness lifestyle gives you more energy
>>77165934You pick the roastie, even then though you are rightThe stakes are high but so are the rewardsI've been all over the world and there's nothing like seeing your son do his first bench press in your garageSpent most of my life being told it was horrible and it would ruin you, by my own parents no lessStill it's a big step that you should approach with planning and thought particularly these days

>>77165987Niggas nvr heard of prenup
>>77166017prenups can be contested and deemed unenforceable.
>>77165336Stress, laziness
>>77165679Kek
>>77166017The moment anyone utters the word "prenup" in a relationship, it signals a fundamental lack of trust that will erode it over time. If you get a prenup, you might as well not marry because the divorce is right around the corner anyways.
>>77166026Yeah but only for valid reasons>>77165987>>77166047If you are only pretending to trust you will have the exact same problems. I agree mutual trust is very important in relationships. Life is hard and trust people is hard. Having no trust in anyone i dont think will get you far unless youre a crack dealer. Everything worth having is a gamble.
>>77166054>If you are only pretending to trust you will have the exact same problems. You don't have to pretend anything if both parties have a similiar net worth. You shouldn't be dealing with financially unstable people in general as they're fundamentally untrustworthy, being poor always comes with the temptation of valuing getting out of poverty over anything else. There's a reason why most crime is commited by poors while most charity comes from people with sufficent disposable income. Poor people suck, and it's not a critique of them as people so much as the condition itself. Find someone on your financial level.
>>77165331>only 1 childLol pathetic. 'Your' wife is getting her needs fulfilled elsewhere.
>>77165934>I grew up poor and made a ton of money in my 20s so I'm always paranoid as fuck some roostie might end up taking more than half of it and leaving me where I started.I feel like this contributes more to the birth rate decline than anything else. We all know growing up poor sucks all kinds of ass and we don't want that for our kids and we also don't want to go back to being poor after we have kids so we're stuck collecting as much money as we can to stay out of poverty and yet with inflation, that same money we work hard for becomes worthless every day so we need to earn more of it and the cycle continues.
>>77166069>rich people are morally superiorSounds like a cope to me. If anything sociopathic tendencies are best for success financially. And i think we all know what jebus said about rich people.Chances are you are lower middle class though and dont make much more than 100k.
>>77165200Dad of 2 teens here. Don't let it stop you. There are phases where you'll have all you can handle just to maintain, but you owe it to your kids to do your best and never stop making the effort. Prioritizing your health is something you need to do as an example to set for them. And being the strong/fit dad puts you ahead of 99% of your peers. I watched so many dads give up on hoisting their kids at around age 5 - fucking pathetic. Just yesterday I was at an event where I danced with my youngest, who is about 90lbs, and I picked her up and swung her around. The looks I got from the other little girls who's dads had stopped picking them up years prior, fucking priceless.Strong/fit dad is best dad.
>>77166114I’m about to get married. My lady isn’t nearly as disciplined as me when it comes to fitness and she chunky as a result. How do I get her to lose weight and keep it off? I also want us to be an example for our future kids

>>77166117Idk but I hope you two will be happy either ways! Grats on the whole marriage thing, anon :D
people are so retarded about children. They are not 1/10th the pain in the ass that retarded women will make them seem like. Most kids actually instinctively want to be helpful to you. The money you need to spend on them is fucking peanuts if you have health insurance that covers them. You can actually just have kids and continue to get jacked and you can even get go out and party and have fun. Let the grandparents watch the kid for a bit like 90% of grandparents would love nothing more.
>>77165869Sure I could. But why would I want to, when I have a gym membership? There's no point setting up a home gym unless it's actually good enough to be worth my while. I'm lifting 2-3 times per week and running 2-4 times. I'm getting enough exercise, it just happens in the morning.>Posted at 5:30 am, just before a VO2max running workout
>>77165869>Can't you just get by with a partir of heavy adjustable DBs and a pullup bar?Yes.
Have a home gym which i get isnt practical for many. Weights 3x a week + 1 long-ish cardio session on the weekend. If i do weights monday my wife will take baby for walk, she does weights tuesday i take baby for a walk, etc. Works well. Baby stays away from the gym it feels a bit too dangerous also its kinda grimy as it used to be a garage.
>>77165909Imagine putting any stock whatsoever i to what other people think about you other than your family
>>77165239Thats precisely why you'll never have either.
>>77165200My wife had a 1 in 1000 problem surface halfway through her pregnancy and we lost the baby. I'm so fucking heartbroken my baby was my biggest inspiration to go to the gym.
>>77166963Rip baby. You can make another tbf
>>77165712>. My 1yo dropped a 3kg dumbbell on my wife's face onceHow the fuck did that happen and why did that necessitate going to a gym? This makes no sense to me

>>77165200>baby is 80 lbs>do skull crushers>gain extra strength because holding baby
>>77166988his wife hates him
>>77165200Shalom rabbi
>>77166975>How the fuck did that happenShe was doing something on her back (maybe glute bridges or something?) and he picked it up, walked over to her and threw it on her face. How else would it have happened?>why did that necessitate going to a gym?Because it was understandably quite an unpleasant experience, and we didn't want it to happen again. So no more weights in the house. She still does Pilates and yoga stuff, while he's literally climbing all over her like a monkey.
>>77165200Quick tip for any soon-to-be mums and dads ITT: don't buy a brand-new stroller. They depreciate like mad, and the second hand ones are still great. Yes there will obviously be a bit of puke on it, but you can put the fabrics in the washing machine. I've gone through a few strollers (hand-me-downs, second hand and new ones for different purposes), but my favourite is the Bugaboo Donkey. Way better than the Uppababy Vista that my sister has, and easier to move around tight spaces. The side basket is brilliant, and you can expand it to carry 2 kids (or 3 with the scooter attachment). Mine cost me $350 AUD with a ton of accessories, when the base model would be $2400 new.And lmao @ your life if you don't have a minivan, now is the time to buy one. Don't fall for the meme that you need to wait until you have 3+ kids.

>>77165712>My 1yo dropped a 3kg dumbbell on my wife's face oncehow fucking strong is he?
Doesn't have to, I still lift three times a week and we bike as a family for two hours on sundays.
>>77168676Sounds nice. Bike trails?
>>77167058>and threw it on her faceYour wife is retarded, I'm afraid. >She still does Pilates and yoga stuffAh, never mind. It was about getting rid of your shit. You got played (and are retarded).
>>77165200Just had my first kid. Not an issue. Just priorities, planning and home gym. Gets easier and easier after first 3 months, but you can just stick with maintenance. Just dont eat shit or give up lifting completely. 10 minute session is better than nothing.
I feel bad for my parents and especially my father. If he would have known his only child would turn out to be as big of a loser as I have, he likely never would have had any. Their entire lives were ultimately meaningless because I have done nothing to give them any pride or hope that the family name will continue on.
>>77169024i'm 37 and feel exactly like i did at 27 physically. why do some people fall apart? or is it just a meme
>>77169521That happens to every child without siblings. It's the only time that the parents are truly 100% at fault.
>>77165679Based
Bitch just lift the fucking baby, it's the perfect progressive overload and you bond with them while having fun.
>>77169526what do you mean
>>77165200the literal opposite, I didn't take the gym seriously until I got my girl pregnant.
>>77166974We're going to try again soon once she heals. The process of becoming parents turned out to be very fulfilling and brought us a lot of joy. We have a follow up with the doctor in April. >>77166983Just losing our first born feels like having my heart ripped out of my chest and my entire body is made out of lead. I've tried training since it happened, but it's so much harder now. Hold your wife and child tight.
>>77165679just put the baby on top of the weights in the wagon and run when transporting your weights + baby. if you stop the wagon with the baby in it smashes into you so you have to run the whole way and only slow down on uphill roads.
