I've been eating whole foods since November and went from 210 to 190. I don't count calories. I am going slow too because at some points I treat myself to something, I can't go 100% because then I'll break. But I eat way less overall and that affords me to get a cone of ice cream once a week with my girlfriend. So stop lying to yourself, calculate your TDEE, and actually portion your food
