anyone with thyroid problems? how does it affect your life? did you manage to fix it? i'm going to get my shit checked tomorrow because i'm fatigued 24/7 among other issues
>>77166487You should try the following>more sunlight>more quality sleep>eating iron rich food>quit drinking alcohol/smoking weedYou probably don't have "thyroid problems" just bad eating and sleep habits
>>77166493I am all for a natural way of solving problems. it's something more complicated
>your body doesnt produce enough thyroid hormonestake t4 and t3 pills, easy>your body doesnt produce enough testosteroneinject it, easyNatural methods almost never work.
>>77166636>>77166487statistically you do not have thyroid problems.I've been tested, my wife was tested, my family and friends were tested. thyroid is 100% that organ that has symptoms with every other issue to some degree so everyone thinks it is that, but it never ends up being that.only dude i know out of thousands that has a thyroid issue has>Hashimoto thyroid diseaseand he also has diabetes.which is extremely common and a tell sign.>same genes cause both>same expression of symptoms>both influence eachother enough to become diagnosable for both in almost all casesif it was actually thyroid related you can almost always diagnose it at home by eating seaweed.hypothyroid goes away with an abundance of iodine in the greatest majority of cases.are you a pregnant woman in a third world country and/or diabetic?
>>77166487>anyone with thyroid problems? how does it affect your life?Just tired all the time. >did you manage to fix it? Went to the doctor, got thyroid meds which help with the symptoms.
>>77166487I lost Most of the weight with a horribly strict tcm Style diet And the fatigue IS better. Over 100 lbs. Not fun. The Other problems werent aolved sadly. Unfortinately No one believes in thyroid problems until they are Affected themselves.
thyroid issue niggas are bitcheswhere my kidney disease killers at o-0
>>77166678so you don't feel tired at all anymore? at this point i'm so skeptical about everything from feeling demolished all the time
just stop eating meat, dairy, and caffeineeasy
magnesium glycinate solved my perceived thyroid problems, assuming you’re already eating healthy and getting enough movement and fresh air, all that other stuff
>>77166487Hypothyroidism here. Honestly, even when that shit is under control with levothyroxine you're still pretty much always going to need more sleep than someone who doesn't have it. But the meds help a lot, and make sure to take them first thing in the morning before food for peak absorption.
>>77166487I have Hashimoto. Technically, I didn't have hypothyroidism at the time of diagnosis (fT4 still within "normal" range) but my TSH was through the roof (at like 20 or some shit) and anti-TPO was so high, it was literally beyond the lab's ability to quantify.I down a T4 pill every morning and that's that. TSH is back to normal, but I don't feel much different than I did when it wasn't (not great, not terrible). My body is most likely still actively trying to obliterate my fucking thyroid, though.
>>77166678They definitely help but even with the meds I feel like I need to nap more than others. That 2 - 5pm urge to nap is hard to resist when I'm not working.
Maybe. But I ignored the results from that bloodwork test.
I had a little bit of a slow thyroid and i did a blood test for antibodies that attack the thyroid, it was high. In the end clean diet and better sleep solved my problems. >>77166487>>77166493also check iodine.
>>77166487Got T4 pills prescribed due to elevated tsh and fatique, helped a bit, but made me very restless, so i am taking a minimal dosage right now (25 mcg). Tested for hashimotos, was negative. Increased my iodine intake a bit a couple of weeks ago after noticing i did not eat much in my regular diet, now constant headache i experienced on higher dosage of T4 as well. Did i just have iodine deficiency?
>>77166487how can you even know if it's iodine deficiency? i have 90% of hypothyroidism symptoms, but i use iodized salt in my cooking
I have Graves (hypErthyroidism), but luckily it was caught basically right at the onset in 2020. I would get winded just getting up and walking from one room to the other, was always tired, and could not gain weight no matter what I tried. My body was hot 24/7 because my metabolism was in overdrive. Since they caught it so early, I didn't suffer from any of the eye bulging side effects that most people have, and with tapizole it eventually went into remission. At diagnosis the doc recommended I have my thyroid removed, but thank fuck I didn't do that.
>>77167932I think you need like 8 grams of iodized salt for your daily needs, that is if you don't eat much other sources.
post ur results
I have tsh of 3 and not sure how to fix. Apparently should be less than 1
>>77166487your thyroid is in your neck????
>>77169212Nah everyone has a different setpoint, some people feel best on a tsh of 4 even
>>77166487kindaextremely low shbg which the blood test people thought was to do with the thyroid but never got it checked up
>>77169220Yes and your heart is in your chest. How old are you?
>>77169176i'll get them next week, i have to do myriad of tests. doctor said hypothyroid was the most likely problem, but that it could also be insulin resistance, candida overflow or just simple mineral/vitamin deficiencymy symptoms are:>extreme fatigue>cold extremities>non-allergic rhinitis >depression>tremors>weak nails and hair>dry skin>feeling dehydrated >bad digestion
>>77170556hey I got these as well
>>77166487>anyone with thyroid problems?probably. when I go down the list of symptoms, I can check pretty much all of them off. they can also find knots in my thyroid.but when they take the blood values, I am right on the edge on hypothyroidism, but still barely within the "normal" range so they go>lmao anon, everything is fine, you are just imagining things>definitely make sure to come back for a checkup in 6 months though because that looks questionable, we should keep an eye on itbasically, as long as I am not flat out dying, they'll use me to farm money from my HC insurance instead of actually doing anything about it.
>>77170573i don't understand when people don't just go to private clinics. you're paying them, they'll give you what you want
any tips for thyroidmaxxing?ashwagandha, seaweed (iodine)what else?
>>77166487>Be 120lbs for about 7 years>Get diagnosed with hypothyroidism>Still 120lbs>Get prescribed levothyroxine>Forget to take it>Still 120lbs>Start remembering to take it>175lbs within 2 months>???Fucking what
>>77170588healthcare is mandatory and expensive as shit in my nation. I pay 700€ for it every month. if I had to pay all treatment out of my own pocket on top of that, I'd go broke.never listen to anyone who tells you that "socialized" healthcare is a good idea.
Hashimoto's here. It's shit even with medication. Pretty common too by now, even among us men. If you get it you can tell the signs in the face of other people. The edema, the flaccid facial expression, the mission outside eyebrows etc.
>>77170591https://wiki.chadnet.org/introduction-to-ray-peat.mp4
>>77170642>the flaccid facial expression, the mission outside eyebrows what do you mean?
>>77166487Iodine helps thyroid function, just don't overdo it because it will additionally fuck it up. 200ug along with what you're getting through food is plenty, it is what my doctor prescribed, and I only have half of my thyroid lol
>>77171758A typo, it's "missing". Hypothyroid peoples' eyebrows start falling out at the outer end, this is called the "Queen Anne Sign". And the flaccid face, well, it's a classic sign. Always looking :(
>>77166676dont listen to this dumbassexactly the high iodine diet is what causes hypothyroid issues.i.e. former yugoslavian countries had goiter and hyperthyroidism issues, so they introduced mandatory salt iodisation due to general publics lack of iodine in their diets.this reduced the prevalance of goiter and hyperthyroidism, but the next two generations had a large increase in hypothyroid cases.>inb4 diabetus processed foods etcwe are talking about physically active people eating mediterranean diet mostly, local meat, local fish, local veggies, where the heavily processed food was rarely available until 2000s. more hypothyroidism than anywhere, exactly due to mandatory salt iodization that has been introduced to combat hyperthyroidism.>>77167932selenium > iodine. you want to reduce the iodized salt if you are hypo. just... check pubmed.>>77170573that sucks. try NDT or getting t4 online.>>77170605agree, got socialist healthcare yet still pay for private due to socialist one having shitty doctors and waiting 30123 days to get a checkup
>>77166487i had hypothyroidism diagnosed as a kid when i was fat as fuck even though my sister, father and mother were all normal weight, ate all the same stuff. I was always cold and fatigued and after getting on levo 150mcg everyday, I literally did a 180 over the following year and lost weight like crazy. My levels are normal now, but I sometimes think I'm getting way too hot in the summer, like literally breaking out in crazy sweats but apart from that, im healthy
>>77172061>My levels are normal nowwith a reduced dosage, taking 50mcg per day now
Another made up modern "disease" that magically vanishes if you go outside and walk around for 20 minutes a day.
>>77166487My thyroid decided to become like modern 4chan and become cancerous, so it had to be removed.
>>77170573Order Tiromel from Turkey for like 20€.
>>77166487>anyone with thyroid problems? how does it affect your life? did you manage to fix it? i'm going to get my shit checked tomorrow because i'm fatigued 24/7 among other issuesstop consuming plants. especially green uncooked shit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goitrogen any competent doctor will explain this to you. leafy green vegetables contain components that hinder the production of thyroid hormones and act as endocrine disruptors. contrary to what youv'e been made to believe eating plants is NOT a good idea. your thyroid is not "underproducing" hormones. you consume crap that hinders their function. aside from the symptoms you've already mentioned the ultimate result, should you not change your diet, will be the growth of your thyroid gland, as it tries to combat the presence of goitrogens by increasing the hormone production (and this requires the growth of the tissue itself, which is why any competent doctor will palpate the region and diagnose a growing thyroid gland).
