If you're just walking around for half an hour, you can do that everyday.

I get insanely constipated sometimes for seemingly no reason. It seems to only happen when I'm both cutting and stressed, but it's gotten really bad a few times, and has lasted months. This latest bout isn't the worst I've had, but I can feel it will keep going unless I nuke it with laxatives. This weekend I took 8 doses of macrogol on Saturday and another 8 on Sunday to clear it out, and I'm already constipated again. And that's despite having another 4 doses per day since then.

I've tried all kinds of stuff to fix it, including going through the entire FODMAP diet, which is a full-exclusion diet that takes months. And now I eat like 40g of fibre per day, but it still happens. There's a company that does a broad suite of tests to diagnose gut problems, but it costs $1000.

Last night I saved about 1200 of my 1800 calories for dinner to have 2 .6 lb burger patties. I added some mozzarella cheese and used fiber low carb tortillas as the bun. My god, even with lean beef they tasted like butter. I've eaten some ground beef since starting this diet but usually finely chopped not as burgers.
It's so funny how when you go over a month without any junk food your tastes change. I had some spicy mustard to put on the burgers but I took one bite and knew I'd enjoy them more just plain, just that little fatty taste from the beef was way too good.

Welcome to the gym, I wish upon ye gains. He is correct, regular running while you are overweight is very rough on your knees. Running puts a lot of stress on your knees and at a normal weight they can handle it but overweight it overloads the joint and can cause injuries. I've known a couple of fellow fats that have fucked knees from doing that. Ellipticals and stationary bikes are a good low impact alternative, still good cardio. Wait until your a better weight to go back to the treadmill.

I'm laying out next weeks plan, I cook on Saturday and Sunday and for the rest of the week have left overs.
Basically 6 same lunches, 6 same dinners, breakfast is always the same for the week. Then on weekends I'll have something different.

My only problem with Eatthismuch is the recipes and combinations are often retarded, so I heavily curate the meals myself. Usually just use Hellofresh recipes, because those are often pretty good and well balanced.

For instance, I had chicken breast + green beans + butter sauce for lunch and supper today.
The chicken breast was somewhere around 400g, so a little over 400kcal, I dunno how much butter I used, but a good bit, so let's highball it with 300. Green beans and many other vegetables like it have so little calories that I don't count them, so the total is ~750kcal
I used lots of butter&salt, so it was super tasty, protein and fibrous green beans are very filling, so those 750kcal leave me satiated for a long time. I'll also drink about a litre of milk today, which is ~650kcal, so the daily total will be 1400kcal, which is under my goal of 1500kcal.

Our metabolisms may have both changed but that would approximately cancel out for our supposed difference to remain about the same. The thing that changed for us both was our habits.

Yes there is a variance from person to person in metabolic rate. No it is not significant enough to be a deterministic factor on what kind of body you end up with relative to your normal daily habits.

There are not two people who are about the same height who eat about the same and work out about the same over a long period of time, with one being lean and one having significant body fat. This is just you coping.

Genuinely, if you spent 6 months practicing discipline. Sharp deficit, strength train 3x a week, walk 5 miles a day on the off days, maybe like 1-2 cheat days a month if that, I promise you'll no longer have this stance. You want to be in a calorie deficit to lose the fat, so eating less and exercise there.
On the muscle side, you need to consistently put your muscles under tension, eat a lot of protein, and sleep well to not lose muscle too. If you don't already lift you could even gain some. I might look into ways to mitigate and move away from that. When it comes to your mind and brain it's going to take work to rewire how you think and in this case don't think about things. You have to make yourself do it, and do it over and over. Reworking those connections firing.

It's just noise that exists because everyone wants to be the guy that figured out "the secret trick". Same reason why keto, carnivore, whatever exists.

Track your calories and stay in a deficit youll lose fat. Do it in the way that is most tolerable for you while also ensuring you're getting OK nutrition. For some people that could involve some degree of fasting, others would rather spread their calories through the day.
IMO fasting is pretty suboptimal because carb timing before workouts really helps me lift better. Sacrificing the quality of my workouts to maintain some arbitrary fasting streak would be fucking retarded.

But I do see that some people can consume less total calories over the course of the week if they can eat nothing for a long time and then pig out in one short window. If it helps you consume less total I can see why you'd do it, but again it has no magical innate benefits.
