I found a wrestling class that goes late at this bjj place and no one has asked me to pay a fee yet. I kinda enjoy wrestling more because they’re more chill with raw athleticism while bjj you kinda want to hold back so no one gets butthurt. Anyways what’s your guy’s opinion on which is better?
>>77169680>wild card judo>wilder card japanese jiu jitsu>learn only from fightingclinch grappling
>>77169680what's your opinion?
>>77169683Probably the wrestling if no one is asking me to pay and I enjoy takedowns and working on my feet more.
>>77169680Wrestling is more applicable to real world scenarios, plus it doesn’t involve pretending to fight while you roll and cuddle on the floor.
>>77169852>standing striking sparringWay easier to apply grappling
>>77169680>butt groping vs butt scooting Pick your poison
>>77169680I enjoyed wrestling more than bjj for the same reason as you, it's faster and more dynamicI can from judo so it was more natural as well I supposeDon't do either now, I box instead
I did bjj for about 3 years and wrestling for about 6 months and as much as I love bjj the cardio you get from wrestling is absurd. I could go 20 mimutes rolling hard on bjj but 6 minutes of actual wrestling and im competeley gassed. If its a good teacher and class and they actually push you to be better I would say do wrestling 100%. Its pretty hard to find a good wrestling place anyway so enjoy it while it lasts.
