He had her doing crunches on the abdominal machine.

Why? What possible good is he doing for this woman?
>>
>>77170602
>Belly: fat
>Belly exercise: no fat!

Was he an old guy or what? Old people have retarded beliefs about fitness
>>
>>77170607
No. The trainer was in his 20's, at least.
>>
>>77170602
Why do other people do abdominal crunches? To get stronger abs dumbass even if the person doing them is fat its still good for them to get stronger in their abs
>>
>>77170602
>What possible good is he doing for this woman?
Most obese people also have very poor core and back strength, and it makes their miserable pathetic lives even worse as a result.
>>
>>77170687
They probably have some strength there just from carrying their bodies around
Anyways crunches are just a bad idea in general
>>
>>77170687
This.

Also, spot reduction is marginally true. By increasing blood flow and growing muscles in a specific area you're accessing more fat cells to burn in that specific area. You're still losing fat all over your body, but slightly more in the areas you work out.
>>
>>77170602
Basic pattern conditioning

>>77170607
Spot reduction is unironically real. Not at scale, but noticeable without a doubt
>>
>>77170607
The most important part of being a PT is making your clients THINK your program is working. It doesn't matter if it actually works because they will just give up eventually. The ones that don't end up doing their own thing after a while anyways.
>>
>>77170602
Any exercise is better than no exercise. If the subject feels they're getting some benefit, they will continue to do it, which will bring them more benefit than doing nothing.
>>

>They probably have some strength there just from carrying their bodies around
It's usually extremely marginal and insufficient. They get big calves, but that's only if they're the active fatties like hikers, which is 0.01% of them.
These are not people capable of carrying themselves around. They cannot be on their feet for more than a few minutes. They are incapable of productive work. They are a blight and a drain on every system they interact with. They are in constant (deserved, in almost every case) pain when they do anything. They are nigger cattle that should ultimately be herded up and used as animal feed.

It's paramount that you lose weight before even doing ab work. Your fat gut gets in the way until then and you can't even see what you're working. Better to just jog and do other shit until you look more human
>>
>>77170717
spot reduction is not real it makes it muscle bigger which means the area is firmer which means you jiggle less
>>
>>77170768
>it's not real except it's real
epic
>>
>>77170769
where in that statement did I say it takes fat away from the area
>>
>>77170772
we both know what you're doing so why go through this charade?
>>
>>77170735
This. Im certainly not ruling out that the PT was a retard - he probably is- but people who are even dumber expect shit like this. If they didnt get it, Fatty would think she is being cheated. Its a retarded industry.
>>
>>77170623
Just giving the client what she wants

If he said "eat a calorie deficit and try to get more steps in" he'd get no money
>>
i honestly wish fats would be banned from gyms, they are the most delusional annoying people, even dyels are less delusional.
Fats would be better off seeing a dietician than going to a gym.
Its not humanly possible for a fat person to lose their fat through exercise. Losing weight is mostly diet and fats being narcissistic will never stop eating cakes, donuts and pizza and other shit food until they die
>>
>>77170602
Good? He doesn't give a shit he's just going through the motions collecting a paycheck until she quits because it's too hard for her
>>
>>77171371
i saw a trainer doing that the other day. He was handing some older lady weights, and she was complaining about the strain, so he immediately takes it off her and hands her a lighter weight. Basically just going through the motions, guy is a total asshole too they all are.
>>
>>77170917
The PT at my gym that seems to have the best reputation always makes his clients do ab shit. And he's always rotating their exercises so they feel sore afterwards. Like nobody wants to pay a shitload of cash to be told that you need to do progressive overload and diet. They want to feel like fitness is this arcane art that takes years of study. And they want to feel sore because they think they're getting their money's worth.
>>
>>77170602
>Why? What possible good is he doing for this woman?
She probably has lower back pain and strengthening the core musculature can help reduce strain on the back. Maybe.
>>
>>77170602
Women love meme shit. I got ultra mad once at my last gym because 3 giga obese old women kept hogging the abs machine for an entire hour for several days. Then they were never seen again. The trainer probably was satisfying her retardness until she gets frustrated and quits to "accept herself". He was getting payed anyway and he probably doesnt give two shits about that lardball.

nothing wrong with squeezing some fat hopeless cunt out of their money for the 2 months where they think "this is where I get thin!" before realizing it takes alot of work and giving up
besides do you have any idea how annoying it is to pretend to give a shit about these whales every fucking day just to put food on the table?
in an ideal situation you get the fat fuck to open up about some trauma then you make up something about how you basically went through the same thing so even when their fat ass quits showing up to the gym you get a Christmas card with $100 in it every year.

The only thing worse than exploitive sociopaths are wannabe exploitive sociopaths
>>
>>77170602
Probably just entertaining her delusions for easy money. Fat people believe in retarded shit like targeted fat loss, zero sugar being healthy, etc.
>>
>>77170602
>building core strength to enable more rigorous strength or cardio training later
>giving the hog some early, easy "wins" to encourage her
>>
>Why is this personal trainer training this person
>>
>>77170602
>why would a weak sedentary person want to strengthen their muscles?
moron

fat people have ab muscles too, anon
you dont just ignore a muscle because there's fat on it
>>

Getting her heart rate up and blood flowing you dumb faggot retarded bitch
>>
>>77171358
exercise is a huge part of increasing metabolism, developing an appetite for healthy food, and having mental clarity to make better lifestyle decisions

exercise has an extremely positive effect on mental health, which directly correlates to lifestyle habits and stress factors that directly effect your weight

its also important to stay active no matter how much you weigh for the sake of your physical health
>>
>>77176386
Man not only do fat people have muscle, they have a lot of ab muscles.
Dad was built like a shit house gorilla.
2 inches of pure fat on his stomach, but if you punches his stomach it was a wall of muscle underneath. Takes a lot of muscle to counterbalance that much fat daily.

Alot if trainers arent too smart
