>>77172623Legitimate post responding to a shitpost. Most people who hate legs hate it because they have weak connection to the movements.I hated lunges most of my life, felt horrible doing them until I actually started stretching and learning what lunges were and how my body should be positioned doing them.Shoulders above hips, legs so deep my knee touches ground, near three dimensional movement of torso. After that it became one of my favorite exercises because It isn't just a horrible chore.Still don't like doing squats or deadlifts, but same bullshit. I just have really bad connection to both.OHP has always been my favorite and if I had the discipline to keep pushing I'd be doing near 3pl8 now, but I don't.It also feels the most natural.
>>77173695Glad to see another lunges enjoyer. I like to use the group-class room in the gym at night for a wide and long space to do my lunges in. Carry one of those heavy sandbags on your shoulders and it gets even more fun.
>>77173698Lunge alongside pigeon pose unironically cured every posture issue I had.You just can't bullshit either of them.>lunge, knee on ground, front leg 90 degrees, squeeze ass, put shoulders above hips>pigeon, knee at 90 degrees and leg at 30 degrees, back leg on groundsimplicity of using the ground to force your legs to be in positions finally gave me the connection of "oh shit why can't i do this" that my mind finally needed to figure out what muscles weren't activating or stretching.Absolutely love the lunge now, deep wide lunge almost like doing the splits and raise my arms up in the air. Cossack squat is another one that really helped.idk man, no upper body exercise ever cured any posture issue for me. If the hips don't allow the back to do what it needs to do, you'll always have upper body posture issues.it made me realize how much of /fit/ for the last almost two decades is just shitpost when I see rounded shoulder threads. horrible information everywhere.if you got posture issues start from the ground up people, your feet are the ones touching the ground, not your fucking shoulders.

havent squatted the past 2 years because I blew up my back. feel like I want to squat again but want to keep the weights REAL low and instead do shorter rest periods and very high rep ranges. I heard tom platz used similiar methods and it worked great for him. I am thinking about shit like 20-30 rep ranges doing front squats. weight will obviously be low. dumb? I feel like there is no substitution for squats at least I could come up with one in the past 2 years.
Unironically the best way to get into legs is to embrace bottoming for black men
legs are hit or miss for me. main thing is making sure I stretch. I've reduced legs to extensions, curls, and either abductions or glute kickback. I also run/elliptical 2 miles after every lift that I have time>>77174269not normally into asians but holy fucking moly
