Lifters back in the 90s/2000s/early 2010s
>lift heavy
>high volume
>bro splits
>eat a lot

Yet every lifter back in the day looked bigger and stronger that most of the "sc*ence based lifting" guys today

What happened?

ppl thought they could replace intensity with optimality

Doomers and looksmaxxers. We're all gonna make it and there's nothing you can do about it
>>
Are the science based lifting guys in the room with us right now?
>>
>>77173003
people stopped taking effective doses of sterioids and now all we have are faggots taking old man doses of testosterone and women's doses of anavar just to look like a slightly bigger natty
>>
Yeah, they were roiding like crazy.

to be completely fair, all this goofy SBL shit being massively popular is a pretty recent development
I've never seen a guy over 18 do tiktok resistance band-assisted pythagorean niggercurls
I also think it's retarded, but I won't call them retarded just yet

>Thinks he's hard for wanting to lift less weight and have a nice little comfy workout
>>
>>77173003
Just go to failure. It's as simple as that. Heavy weight. Challenge yourself.
That makes muscle grow.
>>
>>77173029
Back in the Arnold days people lifted for hours and until their muscles were 200% drained

Now, science nerds think they are too "busy" to spend more than 45 minutes at the gym. Meanwhile 6 hours of doomscrolling through social media is completely fine for them
>>
Heavy weight high reps
How hard to understand can that be
>>
>>77173035
45-60 min of heavy compounds for reps is enough imo
The problem is that I see zoomers doing 40 min cable machine workouts and resting 10 mins while doomscrolling

The color of my skin is white and my ancestors are all from NW Europe. You are spiritually brown for spamming the board about shit other people are doing with their lives as if their existence harms your brownoid brain. No white person cares about how other people choose to work out.
>>
>>77173003
Because science training works.

>>77173044
Your obsession about Gen Z is an absolute mental illness.

Dorian Yates trained 45 minutes per session, 2 days on, 1 day off, hitting a muscle once every 6 days. He used only 1 heavy work set per exercise to failure, after a few warm up sets. He say he was influenced by Mike Mentzers philosophy of high intensity training. This was in the 90s.

What are you talking about
>>
>>77173003
Lifters then
>don't skip workouts
>weight on bar go up
>weight on scale go up
>get your bench to 315 before you bother me with any questions
lifters now:
>I'm a gay homosexual faggot and only use machines because my boyfriend doesn't like calluses and I use RPE and think doing a hundred reps of a hundred exercises is better than actually being strong, strong guys are powershitters and it's yucky
>>
>>77173402
I don't think any of the examples that anyone posted are relevant unless you are on steroids.
>>
>>77173402
If you believed Yates only was in the gym 45 mins 4 days a week you must also believe Arnold only took a little primo and a few dbols too
>>
>>77173425
Why? I train exactly that way and my results are great.
>>
>>77173402
Imagine being this delusional
>>
>>77173485
unless you happen to look like dorian yates i don't see how that's relevant. it's not like training 4.5x/week for 45 minutes per session is at all unusual for a natty.
>>

>What happened?
At that timeframe it was all about Dianabol
