Despite being a fatass who wanted to get in shape I just found working out to be boring as shit.
Then in the dark of night in my backyard I started swinging a fully extended metal mop handle like a sword and doing reps trying to swing as hard as possible while stopping the swing in an imaginary target zone.
From there I started practicing thrusts and lunges and even started using the handle to help with squat posture and eventually move on to more regular workouts.. It isn't the most effective workout and is actually pretty fucking lame, but it worked, and if it can work for me there is something out there that can work for all you lurkers out there.

Making the reader imagine a fatass swinging a mop around like a retard is not inspirational. You could have just picked up olympic lifting and/or fencing to satisfy your autism.

Fencing requires money and often others, and lifting on its own is boring till you have conditioned yourself to find reps compelling and make working out routiene.
My at the time 300+ pound ass was honestly too ashamed of my figure to work out around others so I found something that worked for me. And for most fatasses in this day and age with all the resources around, the biggest gate to working out is making ti feel worthwhile in the moment compared to playing video games and/or jacking off. And pretending I was swinging a sword around is what made it worthwhile to me.
I know everyone goes on and on about doing things via discipline, but in the face of a lack of drive, tricking yourself via indulgence till it becomes second nature and just going off inertia from there also works.

not op, but i was a fat kid with a trampolline (many such cases). my friends and i got our hands on hollow plastic swords that were very durable and we made a game out of beating the shit out of each other with them while jumping and dodging each other. most fun i've ever had doing cardio.

There's an anon here who swings metal bars autistically in the woods
Haven't seen him in a while actually
You might also want to look into mace training, and shovelglove

All you need is one or two physically demanding activities that you enjoy doing. It doesn't matter what they are.
