Should we be concerned?

Plants used for protein powders or feeding cows, like onions, peas and rice, are incredibly good at absorbing lead from the soil.

I feel like there should be some way to filter lead from the plant or even just take it from the soil
>>
They talk about soil depletion so hopefully there is less lead in the rice and shit than 50 years ago

Seems if you use phosphate it helps make the lead less likely to absorb into the soil

Just use whey protein instead of plant based and this isn’t really an issue. You should not be using these every day regardless, they’re supplements. Not staples.

It's not a soil issue, it's a second nature to the plant and how it should be farmed. The entire plants structure leeches everything it can find in the ground and that means heavy metals as well. Even if you put it in an enviornment with low heavy metal concentration (quite hard for anaerobic ponds) it would still find a way to get rooted deep and sap every last mineral on it's way

protein powder are a scam, 20-30g of protein are EXTREMELY easy to get just from diet
