Are vegetables really a requirement for health? I hate eating them, theyre disgusting and expensive, so a double negative.

I've also heard theories that veggies arent even good for u anymore because of the amount of pesticides being used these days to keep up with the amount of production thats required to keep people fed

They "contain" phytochemicals similar to the micronutrients your body need but the twist is that they have a laughable % of your daily requirements, that cooking (most vegetables are inedible raw) eliminates basically most of it and they contain anti nutrients to negate whatever "benefits" they might have had. This is without taking into account glyphosate and other pesticides and the estrogenic effects of some plants.
Animals defense mechanism is running away or biting back, or being venomous. Plants are immobile so they're mostly venomous to organisms that are maladapted to eat them like humans.

Which is ironic because imagine the amount of crop an animal goes through in its lifetime before arriving on your plate. Imagine the amount of pesticides and glyphosate is concentrated in there. A cow eats what 50-150 kg of feed a day? And I'm sure animal feed crops probably have even less strict rules when it comes to the use of chemicals. You're eating toxic meat.

They're not expensive. Fresh are usually cheapest, but frozen are very convenient and are basically ready to drop into your rice cooker, microwave or oven tray and cook in ten minutes or less.

I like steaming in my rice cooker, while it cooks my rice and chicken. Whole meal cooks at once with two minutes of prep time, which is mostly washing rice, and 30min of cook time.

You need fiber to poop. Apples also are a good source of fiber.
