It might sound pathetic but I have fun spending a lot of hours on video games. I have a job, am pretty fit and have an active social life, I just like gaming on top. Recently I do feel that my right knee feels a bit off whenever I sit around for over ~4 hours? I usually wouldn't mind but it's been affecting my squat and I even slightly regressed. What do?
>>77180406Take a break every 30-60 minutes. Or just stand up and walk around a bit between rounds of whatever you play
>>77180406Sorry, you have meniscus aids and your life is drawing to a close.
>>77180406>It might sound patheticcorrect
>>77180456Bro don't be mean to OP. We're all fellow 'Channers here after all
>>77180466Gamers are fagsStop wasting your life waiting for flashing lights to tell you what buttons to push
>>77180424I used to do ~50-500 squats between rounds exactly to ensure something like this wouldn't happen, didn't help, made the issue worse if anything. I'll try light walks instead, thanks.>>77180436Tell my favorite minority they get to stay>>77180466I appreciate it but this 100% looks like I pretended to be someone else to defend myself lmao
>>77180436Not OP but I wish, fuck this gay earth
>>77180478Anon, you're wasting your life on internet forums. I don't see how thats any better. At least OP is enjoying something instead of being negative, unhelpful, and unkind to strangers
>>77180481Don't do squats cold from sitting yeah. Just stretch with some lunges or something. Feels a lot better in my experience
>>77180530Will do
>>77180406>has job>is fit>has social life>games for 4+ hours a day yeah im not buying it buddyyou shouldnt be sitting down for hours pathetic faggot kneesovertoesguy or and sissy squats
>>77180604I'm a full time student and work as a tutor under 2 different professors, picrel is me at the start of my current bulk, and I have a decent bunch of friends and uni mates I spend time with. To be fair, I don't really go on parties and don't drink, plus I don't have a gf right now because I'm a bit picky. And Valve's new MOBA is more fun than casual dating with boring girls either way.>Sissy squatsLove em, they didn't save meh </3
Probably the way you’re sitting when you game. Try a different chair or something
>>77180406Unpopular opinion here but play video games as much as you can while your brain still gets reward signals from themI am in my mid 30s and cant play a video game for more than an hour without getting bored or distractedThe part of me that would have so much genuine fun and joy just goofing around in tf2 or counter strike source for 8 hours a day is dead90% of my recreation time now is jerking my fat italian cock or watching esoteric content on youtube
>>77181256>deadlockpost discarded
>>77182385part of it is because gaming sucks now and there is no soulHoldfast is one of the few games that has soul for me. And it's low commitment so you can play it for 20-30 minutes, be satisfied, and log off to live your life.
>>77181256>deadlockpost redeemed
>>77182385>ItalianDamn it, I had high hopes for you.
>>77182378Interesting, is that why people buy gaming chairs?>>77182385Can recommend trying Deadlock :3>>77182388</3>>77182937Yay
Wear this while gaming.
>>77182998gaming chairs are a meme, I spend 9 hours a day at work on a basic-ass office chair and I have zero pain. But I doubt that sitting can cause knee problems, the issue likely stems elsewhere and the pain you get while gaming is just a symptom, look up theater knee
>>77183026Possibly. Maybe I should talk to a physiotherapist
>>77180406weak hip/glute/hammy and your knee is overcompensating, causing pain
>>77183055Thought so too. I'm strong on RDLs though, and I'm currently doing lateral work for medial glutes and adductors, I hope that's gonna help
>>77183053definitely, knees can be a pain in the ass so the sooner you figure out what the problem is the better
>>77183060before squats, do spanish squats as a warm up. you can try some unilateral work tooi'd say discomfort is okay, you can keep pressing through. pain, however, maybe take time off. and yea, a PT, isn't a option either
>>77180406Look up some knee stretch / mobility exercises. I'd also suggest taking magnesium supplements, like 250mg per day.
>>77183063Will consider, just never thought it was a good idea due to hearing people describe their physiotherapist's solutions as "yeah he just told me to take a month off">>77183065I wouldn't mind the discomfort if I didn't also get weaker >>77183078Already on it
