Help a bro with brain fog, social anxiety and depression out please, I just need to feel my brain highly functioning again. I don't have access to any doctor or medically graded strong drugs for the time being and only Amazon.
Does any of those supplement help or is it just memes: GABA, Lion's mane, Ginkgo, Griffonia, Bacopa, L-Theanin, L-Tyrosin, Reishi, Rhodiola, Electrolytes, Curcumin, NAC, Ashwaganda?
Or is it just placebo bullshit and am I going to waste my time and money?
>>
Quit caffeine. Dont starve yourself. Eat carbs and fat. Do cardio. Eat fish once a week. Read books.
I tried the ingredients that joe rogen had in his big brain shit but in much bigger doses. My mind had been clear but i also went back to school in early 30s recently and i think i learned to focus again and use my brain like i have not done in a while.

Nac works really well especially paired with magnesium glycinate
Had decent experience with lions mane too and might have to try it again.

Sounds like Cortisol is starving out your Pregnenolone which is giving you low T if thats the supps youve been recommended. 30g liquid fish oil per day for 3 weeks, lifting 4 times a week, walking after dinner and getting 8 hours of quality sleep. Check back in a week and a half if no change get a blood test and order a copy of The Hormone Handbook (2011) from that European doctor guy whos the leading endocrinologist

lmao listen to this faggot diagnose and prescribe treatment based on some spergcel's 4chan post.
There's nothing wrong with his hormones, he's just fucked in the head.
>>
im fairly sure that any specific effect would be determined by your personal balance of neurotransmitters like serotonin, gaba, glutamate, etc, and then youd build tolerance rapidly after initial dose
>>
>>77180460
Ashwagandha is the answer.
>>
>>77180506
This op, nac and mag glyc ftw
>>
>>77180460
omega 3 especially taken before/with any high carb meals to counter the brain fog from that along with lots of water to dilute your bloodsugar.
magnesium in the morning to wake your brain up and before sleep to support rest
vitamin c for dopamine boost
work on sprints/cardio so there's actual blood flow in your brain
and not being fat probably helps
>>
I used to use adrafinil and it works like crazy but it will ruin your sleep and its basically not sustainable to just take it every day. Good for my inevitable yearly "oh shit I have to do my taxes today" freak out that I am about to do soon.

>L-Tyrosin
Too much tyrosine acts sort of like a progeria-induction drug: https://www.aging-us.com/news-room/high-tyrosine-levels-linked-to-shorter-lifespan-in-men

Rhodiola is pretty goated among everything you mentioned but they all decent enough if memey. Ginseng and methylene blue are fairly good "brain-boosters" with more anti-aging than pro-aging effects.

>L theanine.
I cant say for certain if it's that or lack of something in coffee, but tea with similar caffeine dose as coffee seems to give less jittery effects.
>b6
B vitamins are pretty much the only supplement i take i am 100% sure works.
>Phosphatidylserine
Dunno but it's in organ meat, fatty fish, egg yolks.

Hope this helps :)

Lion's mane might fuck your shit but for me it helped with that stuff. Know that there is a honeymoon phase where your intelligence might spike and your stomach revolts. If it does, you know it works. You might also get skin issues, but to me it is absolutely worth it. I get mine from Weight World and they don't have a fuck ton of lead in them bc they are from Europe.
>>
>>77184123
sadly neither are available in my country only aniracetam and piracetam

I heard nac makes you depressed if you take it for too long is that true?

on selank rn its pretty good

I tried nasal sprays of both selank and semax for a month and felt no changes

Fish oil is 100% worth it, not just for nootropic benefits but overall health. Besides that, I can attest for Bacopa and, to a lesser extent, Gingko.

I have ADHD and used to take them before meds, mainly Bacopa but tried Gingko too. Took them for about 2 years and felt an improvement, but it was more noticeable when I began Bacopa. Stopped taking them after starting Vyvanse, and they definitely don't come close. However, I started feeling a lot more stress, anxiety and brain fog as the months went on (master thesis issues mainly).
Finally decided to try it again 2 weeks ago, and the improvement was once again noticeable. I could feel my brain go back to how it felt 2 years ago, before I started feeling the brain fog symptoms. Not perfect, just not as clouded.

The main thing is though, they were the last mile. I had already made an effort to:
- be mentally active. Harder not to in my case but still important to do if you don't;
- fix my sleep habits and my sleeping pattern (tbf still a bit fucked);
- exercise regularly, with focus on cardio;
- manage my work-life balance and cortisol;
- have no nutrient deficiencies and hidrate;
- meditate (look up the default mode network, it's really interesting how it interplays with many conditions like autism and adhd);
I'm not done with improving these aspects, but nootropics mainly helped me manage specific problems I struggled with after taking steps on other, more obvious areas. They accelerated my improvement, but I believe they're like premium gas - if you put it on a car that's breaking down, they're not gonna fix it.

>>77180480
Overall your advice is pretty solid, but caffeine is mildly nootropic. Just don't abuse it and it can be a boon.
>>77183886
L theanine has crazy synergy with caffeine, I'm pretty sure.
>>
>>77185758
>Fish oil is 100% worth it
As a consoomer of over 100 supplements, fish oil isn't one of them because it's so darn easy to hit supplement doses eating not too much fish.
>>
>>77185830
I guess it depends on your local availability and dietary habits. Fish is a bit expensive where I live, nothing crazy, but it's also not a big part of the standard diet. So unless I go out of my way to get it, I won't consistently hit the recommended doses. And I think going a bit above them still has some benefits.
If you can just eat it you're probably right though. The days I have enough fish meals I usually skip on the supplement too.
As long as you're getting oiled up nice and fishy, everything will be alright in the world.
