Check out Park Tool's youtube channel to learn basic maintenance. I work in a bike shop and we charge over a hundred dollars to wipe down the frame and do minor adjustments. It's worth bringing your bike to the shop for difficult or complicated repairs but you don't want to be that guy paying out the ass for a "tune up" without knowing what you're buying
