tell me about the set point, /fit/.because I used to be fat but now I'm healthy, but if I stop doing diet I start gaining weight again. I tried 4 times to stop the diet and the 4 times I gained weight and had to start dieting again. How do I make my weight permanent? Or am I supposed to stay on diet my whole life? I'd rather die.
>>77183836What are you tracking? I'd just start with -100 kcal from your daily maintence for a week and keep subtracting another 100 until your weight is stable. There's always some amount of logging error you just have to create an offset on top if the numbers aren't mathing in a way that matches reality. Good ol trial and error.
>>77183836what the fuckyou're posting a modified shitpost I made in 2016 in some facebook group, my watermark is still hidden in the top rightthe internet is wild, 10 years later huhalso just eat less in general
>>77183836calculate your TDEE and figure out what meals you like that fit within your calorie count.that's your new diet.you aren't "on a diet" then, you're eating to maintain.
>>77184708bruh, I made the meme myself>>77183872my weight is never gonna be stable, unfortunately>>77184711I know what meals fit in my calory count, I just don't want to live like this
>>77185900>my weight is never gonna be stable, unfortunatelyNot with that attitude. I have a stash of tootsie pops for when I'm trying to get within less than 100 kcal of my projected maintence. And werthers' original for when I can close another 20 kcal. You can absolutely dial it in with a kitchen scale log everything to the gram until you know with absolute confidence where that number is it's just trial and error but that requires good record keeping.
>>77183836Yeah, if you start eating garbage again, you'll gain the weight back? How many times are you going to have to run this experiment?
>>77183836>Or am I supposed to stay on diet my whole life?you're not supposed to do meme diets in the first placejust eat good food and avoid junk. it should make you feel better, not worse.
