>Longer limbs, longer RoM
>Longer levers need 30% more torque and power through reps
>Longer limbs mean geometry for classic lifts is fucked
>Machines are no better since they're made for short people
>Longer muscle bellies mean longer time to achieve more mass proportionally and look good
Pic rel is 6'4" with a 396x8 squat and 308x4 bench and has been training for 8 years, even says most men over 6' should expect 5 years to break through the DYEL phase.
What's the answer /fit/?
Besides roids.
>>
>>77184061
Just means there is a higher ceiling for tall chads, just like they deserve.
>>
I play the long game and people can tell I lift. That's all. 6'1 btw
>>
>>77184067
Yeah that's one thing I keep seeing, higher ceiling due to frame size and more bone mass = more muscle support.

>>77184072
I was checking out that guy's channel and I've asked John Hart and the consensus is yeah, 4-7 years to not look DYEL. Just fucking sucks when you're glad to hit past 80 on bb curls and you see a 5'7 mexican zoomer on God knows what bathtub chems piping 20lb dumbbells but with 17" arms somehow.
>>
6’1 always gotta mention their 6’1 for some reason
>>
Competitive lifting is stupid in all forms. The barbell is a tool for training, not showing off. If you want to compete, get into sports. Even strongman makes more sense as a sport than powerlifting. All the downsides of being tall become upsides (more ROM = more stimulus per rep and so on). Being tall is valued in men in general so I don't get the bodybuilding angle, unless you want to compete there (also stupid).
>>
>>77184098
I'm a lifter of 3 years registering as intermediate-advanced (exceptional on squats) on symmetric strength yet I still look like a hungry skellington, that's why it matters.

Yes. This is a bit different but note how so many mega tall athletes (wemby, durant) are stuck with the hungry skeleton build. Your average tallfag is nowhere near that height but they also don't have teams of dieticians, trainers, etc, so it takes ages to look half decent. Tall mega jacked men exist but are rare and/or juicing.
Also I think it's easier to go from tallfat to in shape to tallthin to in shape, especially if you want to actually look good.

i think they also forget they have to lift heavy as shit and eat way way more. The payoff is amazing if they pull through
>>
>>77184184
>no matter how much niggas like wemby and durant eat and workout they will never escape skelly mode
I know it makes sense and its objective science but i cant comprehend it, calories are calories, every human has a TDEE no matter how active they are, youre telling me no matter HOW much guys like that eat theyll never gain thick mass? How? If he eats thousands above his TDEE a day, which is very doable esp for active fit rich athletes, sooner or later theyll get massive arms and big frames, THE CALORIES HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE
>>
>>77184141
>intermediate-advanced
Is that relative to height and bodyweight or a general thing?
>>
>>77184304
Athletes are a bit different because of how much exercise they do. In theory he could bloatmaxx eating 6k cals a day being sedentary and he would gain weight. But it's hard to so while running that much.
Also I've heard people say wemby specifically might not want to gain weight because of his height. Idk how much he weighs now but even if he looked better when filling his frame out, that's way more stress on the joints if he gained 10-20kg which leads to more injuries.
>>
>>77184067
Try to not hit your head in it while you're at it
>>
>>77184061
How is that a problem? Ok a short person has easier time lifting, but he is still short and no changing that
>>
>>77184141
What were you expecting after 3 years?
I noticed you didn’t actually post any of your lifts. Intermediate bench is only like 2pl, did you want to look jacked with that?
>>
>>77184061
Yeah and it has a bigger effect on certain muscle groups. It took me forever to build quads, calves, and lats.
>>
>>77184061
when i was 15 i benched for about a year and could max 200lbs. by then every woman around me could notice and at 16 i slayed like you would not believe. literally there was too much pussy to take care of at once. 6ft1 btw

I found this guy on reddit and he's 6'4" like OPs guy.
I wouldn't mind looking even just like this but he said he'd been lifting for abt 6 years at this point and was sitting around 195.
>>
>>77184061
>Longer levers need 30% more torque and power through reps
Longer limbs also have muscle insertions further away from the joints, cancelling the effect.
>>
>>77184770
Being this strong is scary good because its purely controlled, and yet out of your control. You could punch someone in the face, and theres a 75% chance it turns them into a convulsing mess on the floor. You could hug your wife too hard and theres a 25% chance you bruise her.
>>
>>77184760
Cool site. If i drop 20 lbs my ohp bevomes proficient. They do not account for height it seems.
>>
>>77184061
this is retarded take, height matters in a sense that if you're taller you are just stronger, bigger frame more potential to put on mass, all you said is a striaght up lie, Thor is almost 2m or whatever, Lasha best ever olympic weightlifter is 197 cm, that is 6'6 in retarded units, same with Brian Shaw etc, retardatiaon doesnt ask your height, if you're retarded, you gonna be retarded at whatever height

I always look like shit no matter what
Been lifting for 10 years and i couldnt reach a 225 bench.

Magnus is 2m tall, is that his daughter ? Looks like she's at least 190 cm holy shit. Those Nordic genes are no joke
>>
>>77184879
>that if you're taller you are just stronger, bigger frame more potential to put on mass,
Yeah if you take gear there are no downsides to being tall.
>>
>>77184067
This. Don't complain about leverages when your ceiling is going to be so much higher than stunted manlets like me. There's a reason modern WSM champions aren't below 6'.

Yes but compared to "natty" shorter men it's a joke, forgetting comparisons with roiders. Even tall roiders look sub-par except for that one guy.

>You could punch someone in the face, and theres a 75% chance it turns them into a convulsing mess on the floor. You could hug your wife too hard and theres a 25% chance you bruise her.
If you're older than 15 years old writing this retarded shit you should off yourself immediately.
>>
>>77185095
>Yes but compared to "natty" shorter men it's a joke
Now put them next to each other and a tall guy will mog any short guy with any amount of muscle mass, it will look comical.
Are you complaining about looking worse on instagram pics or something? Do you even post your shirtless pics online?
>>
>>77185095
I thought dwarf maxing was a joke but he looks disgusting here. Stubby little arms make me want to barf. He would look way cooler with long unkempt hair and a beard.
>>
>>77184184
They're skinny because they have to be able to move around quickly. If they bulk up, it's just gonna be more weight to carry around with no positive difference in their niggerball ability. They might not have a lot of mass but I bet their fast-twitch muscles are on point.
>>
>>77184760
>6'5 and 178lbs
Damn you must be lean af. I'm a similar weight but 2 inches shorter. Your lifts look good but no bench though?
>>77184861
Yeah it's a good site but the height thing matters a lot, kinda annoying. A 5'5 70kg guy is going to look very different to a 6'5 70kg guy.
>>
>>77185536
Yeah I need to dexa again but working the math and assuming I've lost no lean mass since I've only gained strength, I should be sitting at roughly 13% bf rn.
Partially torn rotator cuff so bench hurts but I can dip all day for some damn reason so my chest work is pec deck, incline db presses and occasional dips.
I'm just praying, since I've finished the cut, that my arms can catch up and blow up. I can do roughly 80x6 preacher curls rn superset palms-in pull downs for a finisher but I'd love to hit 100 for 5 by the end of the year and not have NOODLE FUCKING ARMS.
>>
>>77185718
Ah right, fair enough. Yeah, like I said I'm shorter but not as lean. The only time my arms didn't look thin af was when I deliberately bulked as hard as I could to about 85 or so, which made my face look borderline chubby but it did make my arms look more normal kek.
>>
>>77184246
What a boring dumb person you are (I'm tall btw I just hate dumb boring guys like you)
What do people get out of writing dumb boring repetitive shit? I don't get it
>>
>>77184760
You're squatting high. You also need to gain 40 lbs asap
>>
>>77185762
Yeah I was floating around 19% bf but all my weight is kept in my midsection, I had arm veins but a belly and slight moobs. Even know I have cascades of arm veins and calf veins but still some leftover stomach fat

>>77185768
Yeah chief I have no clue I just show up and run through mentzer's ideal routine and the leg numbers just always go up but I've had chest/back plateaus intermittently.
>>
>>77185777
Checked. If you are squatting almost 5 plates at your height and weight, that is absolutely outrageous. Your other lifts are good too considering what a terrible size and shape you are for this. If you are so good at lifting it would be nice to see what you could do at a proper bodyweight (250 plus) or at least something vaguely human (200 plus)
At your size I benched around bodyweight for reps, squatted 2-2.5 plates, deadlifted 3 and pressed 115. And I wasn't carrying fat.
>>
>>77185777
>all my weight is kept in my midsection, I had arm veins but a belly and slight moobs.
Trips checked and yeah similar to me. Part of the struggle for me was hitting 3k+ cals every day cleanly/not eating any shit food at all.
