>*cramps*>*incapacitates you for a week*
>>77185943I'm laid up with this right now. I nearly shit myself climbing into my car yesterday.
How the fuck is possible to get a trap cramp
>>77185943There has been about four times in my life where I woke up and literally couldn't turn my head left. Completely locked up on me. Each time it would last for about two days, and then get better.Hasn't happened in over 10 years now, hope it never happens again.
Have this since last Tuesday. Any way to speed up the recovery?
>so many people seem to have this issue>no answer as to how to fix it or preventFUCKING HELL? HELP!!! YOU TELLING ME THERE ISN'T ONE PHYSICAL THE RAPIST ON /FIT/?
Shrugs helped me with this, when you're coming down, just let the weight stretch your traps for you, then as a morning stretch, tilt your head to the side and gently pull, just until you feel a stretch on the opposite side. Hold every stretch you do for 30 seconds, and stretch both sides.
>>77187328I get it when I do handstands n sheeit but also have forward head posture. I think that this has most to do with it, you get more strain with overhead presses. Imbalances from chronic habits that gave you forward head posture are magnified to the weaker side trying to stabilize your midline movement. Correcting your gabitual posture might be the main preventative, maybe even controlled isolateral movements (no handstands.)Idk, everything I said was just an asspull
>>77187328Red light therapy
>>77186387>>77187328If its the same as has happened to me a few times, a mad mid/upper trap spasm that takes a week to relax, then Ibuprofen is what works for me. Usually goes away with 3-4 doses over 24hrs.Last time it happened to me, I was laying in bed. Seems to be some kind of inflammation response to moving awkwardly rather than an injury.
>>77187328Massage cured mine. Also sleeping correctly. Massages are expensive too so you might be out of luck.
