It's April and I'm like 30% into my bulk. Obviously annoying considering it's ideal to cut just before summer. So what exactly is the ideal cut/bulk cycle throughout the year? And how do I get into that? Is it something like>Bulk Sep - Feb>Cut April - June>Maintain July - August, March?
>>77187179Lots of people do it that way but in my opinion the best way to go about it is longer, slower bulking phases followed by shorter more aggressive cuts. like 0.25-0.5lb per week gained until you get up to 18-20% bodyfat over the coarse of a year or so, then 6 weeks of hard cutting, like 1500 calories a day. I think it makes the most sense to spend more of the year in a productive phase and cut as little as you have to. If you bulk slowly you can maintain your leanness for most of the year until the last couple months of peak bulk. Most people aren’t willing to let themselves get soft but I think that as a natty lifter its important to push mass phases and you’re likely making your best gains when you’re around 15% bodyfat. If yo yo your diet constantly you will gain and lose the same 10 pounds every year. Commit to something.I guess I should make the disclaimer that this is not the advice I would give to someone who is already fat, obviously. if you are 20% or higher you need to cut no matter what before bulking, pushing bodyfat beyond that is going to increase the number of fat stores that exist in your body by a margin great enough that it will be harder to stay lean in the future.>inb4 some 150lb faggot hops in thread to tell you you don’t need a surplus to maximally gain musclemaingain your way to 200lbs
