Aren't you just better off bulking and then doing a cut instead of recomping (especially for skinny fat people)? Doubt that me staying at maintenance or slightly cutting will do anything.

I argue against recomp and promote muscle redistribution more.
People seriously need to adjust their workouts to be more sustainable. Excess of useless muscles that fuck up your posture and in general make life hell is at absurd rates and it can take decades to actually lose all the muscle because even the tinniest stimulation can maintain a larger factor than people think.
I'm 8 years on it and finally my arms sit at my side aesthetically instead of looking like a fucking retard chimp because I worked out triceps so much i couldn't put my arms at my side.

I feel like I'm delusional for wanting to reach 90kg. I have a very narrow frame with rounded shoulders but I don't have much muscle so I'm stuck in this limbo.

body dysmorphia is real.
as an adult man reaching 40, I would much rather weigh in at 180lbs constant, it feels better I feel better.
Your heart, your liver, kidneys, many organs in your body can only sustain a certain mass daily and often have you feeling like shit every single day if you even go slightly over this mass.
At 200lbs or even 220, I noticeably feel worst constantly m8.
As I get closer to 195, 190, 185 etc energy levels go up, erections get stronger, i think better.
being big is a huge fucking meme and it often times contributes to lack of confidence which tells you, you need to be even bigger or "manlier" to regain that confidence.

Life ain't some faggot LARP.
Historically fighting age males only came in at 150lbs. 180lbs is already excessive and really shows just how excessive we are in every aspect of life.

No.
There is literally 0 evidence for this, just broscience tradition.

There is no reason why recomp isn't possible or even preferable to bulking and cutting, bulking will always lead to fat gain which will then require cutting.

You add single digit grams of muscle a day naturally distributed all over your body, bulking is useless, you can't speed up gains by gainin fat, aiming for magic bodyweight numbers is a waste of time, just focus on constant improvement.

i recomped hard, just intermittent fasting+counting calories+PPLPPL

okay and i'm 5'10"?
if you weighed 180lbs at 6'4'' you'd have near perfect swimmer aesthetics.
while I at 180lbs still look like a fucking dwarf bro build.
at 220lbs I just look like an ever bigger dwarf bro build.

>5’10, 150lbs
>lifting for 2months 4 days a week
>eating in a 200-300 calorie deficit
bros what do I do. I’m skinny fat and have gyno, should I just start eating in a small surplus to put on muscle? My hope was to burn fat and put on muscle at the same time, and my lifts are going up while I stay the same weight which I assume means it’s working? But progress seems slow for ‘newbie gains’ and I still look like this.

To the extent that some people (arguably most people) struggle to persist when they don't see results, yes. If you have a solid sense of resolve though (or autism), then no.

That r*dd*t thread was decent. Bulk/maintenance and lift for a year before dooming, you'll be ok anon.

Why does bulking and cutting work so much better than maingaining or recomping?

Bulking also reduces the stress of working out and growth? Signals abundance?
>>
>>77188692
Alright ill just eat in a tiny surplus, thanks
>>
>>77188325
recomping works
but only for beginners in the first year of training
