I started dieting, 500 cal deficit, 180g protein, 40g fat daily, lifting every other day, water only.I'm shocked at how quickly the weight is coming off. Why is anyone fat when it's this simple?

The first month or so you will drop a ton. Alot of it is water and poop that your body recognizes it doesnt need since you’re eating less. You have lost some fat too though. Im on week 7 of an 8 week cut. I lost about 15lbs the first 4 weeks. These past 2 weeks I’ve barely lost 4lbs eating at an even bigger weekly deficit that I did the first month.

>>77190545Im 6’1 and started the cut at 220lbs. I played American Football and was built like it. I wouldn’t say I was fat but I definitely wanted to lean out since those days are long gone. Scale finally dipped under 200lbs this morning. If I can get to 195-197 in the next two weeks I’ll consider the cut succesful. 8 kilos shouldnt be too tough. You can do it in 2 months if you really lock in.

I never went to sleep hungry since I allocated most of my calories for dinner. I also dont get the whole “you’ll rebound and spike back up in weight from those diets!” logic. If anything im struggling getting used to eating in a surplus now to lean bulk
