/fit/ I completely fucking snapcity'd my back being retarded and so far it's been exactly 48 hours, I just finished up work and it's just unbearable.
Does anyone have a recommendation for otc pain medication and ointments if you have been in a similar situation?
Im fucking fucked they will 100% put me on medical leave and I don't have the mental capacity right now to set up disability gibs
>>
>>77192465
salonpas patches work fairly well. Best of the ointments and patches I've tried
You're not really going to find effective pain relief otc, aspirin and Aleve is probably your best bet
>>
>>77192482
Yeah I took like 440mg naproxen this morning but it didn't really do that much
I'll go to the store in a bit and look for those
>>
>>77192465
I'd reccomend using voltarin on it twice a day for like a week. Also use an ice pack on it.
>>
>>77192598
Ice is better? I was using heat when possible but the salonpas says not to so idk
The heat from showering and putting the nozzle on the spot does seem to help maybe a little, I wish I had a jet head thing.
It's actually over for real,
>>
>>77192465
just dont fall for the prescription jew, that's how you ruin your life
>>
>>77192465
Do foam rolling/light cardio for a week, and then start doing deadlifts/squats with an empty bar, slowly working your way back up. A deadlift injury left me bedridden for 3 days doing that helped me heal it completely.
>>
>>77192690
That sounds like some solid recovery advice.
I'm going to be deadass, I was unable to shit from the pain and I just went and pushed out a 3.5 day rock and the monumental forces involved with pushing it out completely masked all traces of pain for a second each time, and now I feel so much better, massive improvement. I'm going to start on some light exercises tomorrow morning
>>
>>77192662
Alternate hot and cold.
>>
What happened? I'm guessing high chance of squat or dl injury
>>
>>77192465
When mine was real bad I used CBD ointment (the strong stuff) locally until I could get off the couch without agonizing pain. Walking and hot showers will help and then stretching when its bearable to do so.
>>
>>77192775
>What happened?
please answer this OP
might help some of us avoid a trip to the city

I fell straight on my ass while free climbing in the middle of nowhere and spent the night on the ground unable to go anywhere because of the pain.
>>
>>77192775
What a surprise you're wrong and retarded

It will recover eventually. Within a month if it's fast but bear in mind, if you don't wait until the full recovery, yet push then snap the same part again, or even then AGAIN, that's how it gets really really worse. By then it will take years but this will recover eventually too. Give it enough time.
>>
>>77192465
Call in sick for a month and walk and swim. A lot.
Find a job where you move around a lot after that.
Thats what helped me
>>
>>77192842
Go to the fucking doctor retard, if you broke something you will want to make sure it heals right. This isnt a back tweak where you can do some air deadlifts and eat ibuprofen and pray for it to go away
>>
>>77192869
>one case disproves a general trend
>I'm retarded
Sure, let us ignore all the people acking their shit after bb squatting and dling that have posted here
>>
>>77192842
Ow. I’ve fucked my tailbone once and was in agony for six weeks, fell over pissed, wife done hers falling over skiing and hit a rock was fucked for eight weeks.
>>
>>77192465
Welcome to the next years of your life. It will get better eventually if you aren't retarded and decided to snap it again.
>>
>>77192465
If it's this bad you may have mildly slipped a disc. This shit can really fuck you up if it gets worse, go get an MRI and don't be a retard.
Other than that, I recommend wearing a back brace (like a squatting belt but medical, can get in well-equipped pharmacies etc) and taking it easy for a month. Start stretching afterwards.
>>
>>77192971
I really hope it's not that, it was pretty flat.
I had a tailbone injury in the past, slid down the side of a suv because I was sitting on the roof and got an ass full of door handle. It took 5 years to recover, for 5 years I had to sit at weird angles to not put any pressure on it.
I don't think I did that in though.
>>77192890
It will heal in time, a doctor isn't going to do shit except prescribe stronger pain medication and charge me $110,000
>>
After only 48 hours you don't know if you're fucked yet. Unless you're REALLY fucked, then you would know. Either way what you need to do right now is rest.
>>
>>77192465
If its a disk injury consider decompression exercise such as dead hangs. This takes some of the pressure off which provides instant relief and helps promote bloodflow and drainage which will speed up healing.
>>
Salonpas and Bayer Back and Body
>>
I been doing deadlifts and the muscle on my lower back is sore. Is that normal or am I gonna fuck my shit up?
>>
>>77193488

No that's good. Sign of proper form. Love a lower back pump, me.
>>
>>77193497
ok good this fucking exercise always makes me nervous
>>
>>77193502

Don't go ego lifting, laddy.
>>
>>77192465
Yeah I'd get some vagisil for your pussy.
>>
>>77193506
I’m too scared of dl’s snapping my back to egolift on them
>>
>>77193516

Trap bar is a better safer movement if you don't want to powerlift. Can pull from your actual center of gravity.
>>
>>77192842
Did you learn your lesson? Don’t fucking climb shit alone and with 0 safeties
>>
>>77192465
Wear your weight belt almost 24/7 during this phase of your injury, only take it off to sleep, flat on your back-if u can on a hard surface like a floor with matt instead of your bed. Keep this up for a day or two then hit with heat consistently.

Medicine won't do anything, take whatever personally helps you block pain. Advil/Tylenol/Naproxon doesnt really matter.
>>
>>77193647
dont take tylenol, highly toxic to the liver causes failure if you take too much. even if you take recommended dosage it can kill you if you take it every day or too often. now and then is fine dont take it constantly. shame because its one of the most effective otc painkillers. anything but acetaminophen
>>
>>77193694
Nonsense
>>
>>77193366
>and i'm proud to know the man who died, and gave that right to me
>>
>>77192465
Ibuprofen and dead hangs from pullup bar. Birddog stretches. when you're able, kettlebellswings.
>>
>>77193716
Theres hundreds of tylenol lawsuits for liver failure taking the recommended dosage.
>>
>>77192465
Go to doctor and get a steroid shot, you'll feel better almost immediately and it will just be a dull ache tomorrow
>>
>>77193366
>will heal in time, a doctor isn't going to do shit except prescribe stronger pain medication and charge me $110,000
I used to think the same way, but trust me the steroid shot will make you feel 100% better and it will heal a lot quicker
>>
>>77192842
fucking hell
One time, I fell down the stairs from wet shoes in winter.
Landed on my ass
I probably broke something because it took a good 12 months for the pain to vanish
thankfully, it wasn't the type of pain that keeps you awake at night
>>
>>77192465
Back breaker and back hyper extensions.
The back breaker will relieve pain as you sit in an office chair.
The back hyper extensions will speed up healing. Once the pain subsides, slowly add on weight to them until you get up to something absurd. I do 80 lbs.
And do that as a warm up on leg day for squats and desds.
>>
>>77193366
I can tell you're American off of this single comment. What kind of retard avoids the doctor after falling on their ass and experiencing debilitating pain? This isn't a simple muscle sprain or tweak anon. You 100% fucked something up. Stop living like a third worlder and get it checked out.
>>
>>77193927
Hundreds of lawsuits out of hundreds of millions of use cases.
>>
>>77194397
Doctors here are less than worthless. Pills are their solution to everything. OP needs a good physiotherapist of which there are few.
>>
>>77194348
Wth are back breakers?
>>
>>77194348
>>77195126
>Wth are back breakers?
want to know this, too
